How to make Funnel Cakes

Ingredients Needed
2 cups flour2 tablespoons sugar1 teaspoon baking powder¼ teaspoon salt2 eggs1 ½ cups milkOilPowdered sugar/maple syrup/cinnamon
Step 1
In a deep bowl, stir flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine the eggs and milk; pour into the dry ingredients.
Step 2
Stir combined ingredients with a whisk or a mixer until smooth.
Step 3
Heat 1 ½ to 2 inches of oil in heavy skillet or deep fryer to 375 degrees.
Hint: Make sure oil gets hot enough or else your funnel cake will not fry correctly!
Step 4
Hold finger over the end of funnel; place ½ cup batter in funnel.
Step 5
Remove finger from end of the funnel.
With slow motion, dribble batter into HOT oil in the shape of a coil.
Step 6
Fry cake for 2 to 3 minutes, on each side.
The cake is ready when golden brown on both sides.
Step 7
Remove the Funnel Cake.
Drain on a paper towel.
Step 8
Sift powered sugar over the warm Funnel Cake.
Or serve with syrup or cinnamon; You choose!
