BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Things you will need

• Your National Insurance number

• Debit card details (if you’re making a one-off payment)

• Bank or building society details (if you’re planning on setting up a regular savings plan)

Important information

There are two main stages in the process and you will need to complete both before your account is created.

You will first need to enter your personal details and check they are correct - and then you will need to fund your account.

GETTING STARTED

Go to the Fidelity homepage Scroll down the page and select Open your Stocks

and Shares ISA

Homepage link: www.fidelity.co.uk

Select Services from the top menu and select

Stocks and Shares ISA

You will then be presented with the Stocks and Shares ISA page.

ABOUT YOU

Enter your personal details in addition to your home address, contact and employment status

Create your username and password

Choose how you want Fidelity to contact you

Follow the instructions on screen and choose a memorable username and password. You can use your email address as your username.

Keep these safe as you will need these to log in to your account.

You will need to enter something for every field here, except those marked optional. Some questions will open up further questions, and you will need to answer those too.

For example if you are not a UK national, or you hold dual nationality, you will need to tell us what your nationality or dual nationalities are.

If you already have an account with us, please log in and many of these details will be filled in for you.

Tick the boxes if you would like to opt in to email updates and newsletters and if it is ok for us to update you by phone and post.

CONFIRM AND REVIEW

Confirm that you agree to our terms and conditions

Click Next Review your details

You will now see all your details on the third page. Please review these details carefully.

a. If everything looks correct, select ‘Confirm’ at the bottom of the page.

or

b. If you see anything incorrect, select any of the ‘Edit’ links on the page, and you will be taken back to the previous page.

Important information

Please review all of our terms and policies. Please read each one carefully. Once you are happy with everything, select the box provided to show that you accept the terms within.

CHOOSE HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO INVEST

If you see a different screen, please skip ahead to the ‘If we need additional details from you’ section.

YOU WILL NOW SEE THIS SCREEN a. Selecting ‘Make a single payment’ will take you to a payment screen where you can

choose the amount you wish to invest and the source of your investment which is important as it helps us to fight fraud and keep your money safe.

b. Selecting ‘Set up a Regular Savings Plan’ will take you to the contributions screen where you can choose the amount you wish to invest, when and how often you can contribute.

c. Selecting ‘Transfer my investments’ followed by ‘Confirm’ will take you to the transfer screen where you can enter details of your other accounts.

IF YOU’RE MAKING A PAYMENT BY CARD

Enter your card details and then select Confirm

We verify your card details Confirmation of your payment

Once your card details are verified, you will receive a confirmation of this and your account number. You can save a copy of your confirmation by selecting ‘Print and save’.

You will then be given the option to invest the cash by selecting ‘Invest now’. This will take you to a screen where you can choose investments.

You may be asked to provide further information on the 3D Security page as part of your online transaction security. If you are unsure of your details, you may want to check with your card provider before proceeding.

IF YOU’RE MAKING A PAYMENT BY CHEQUE

Select Cheque and confirm that you have read and agreed to our terms

Save, print and put it in the post

Once you have confirmed to our terms and doing business, you will receive an account number and will have the option to save and print the cheque payment slip which you must then send to us.

Please review our terms and read each one carefully.

Important information

Please make sure to send us your cheque payment slip along with your cheque so we can complete the account opening proces.

Once we receive your cheque and your payment has been processed, your money will then be available to invest.

IF YOU’RE SETTING UP A REGULAR SAVINGS PLAN

Enter your contribution details Confirm your direct debit details Confirmation of your transaction

Once you have confirmed your transaction, you will receive an account number and will have the option to save and print a copy of your application.

Please review your details carefully.

If everything looks correct, select ‘Confirm’ at the bottom of the page.

or

If you see anything incorrect, select ‘Edit’ and you will be taken back to the previous page.

You will need to enter how much you would like to invest, followed by the frequency, collection date, and the source of your investment which is impor-tant as it helps us to fight fraud and keep your money safe.

IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO TRANSFER INVESTMENTS TO US

This will take you to the Transfer Investments journey, where you can start the process of bringing any existing investments you may hold to Fidelity.
