HOW TO PREPARE FOR A FISHING TRIP

CONTENT1) Following the Rules

2) Sustenance

3) Large Back Packs

4) Appropriate Equipment

5) Multifunctional Clothing

6) Navigation Tools

7) Record Keepers

1) FOLLOWING THE RULES Different towns, cities, states, provinces, and countries have varying laws and

regulations on fishing.  Make sure to check in with your city of choice in their

tourism department to find out the local requirements and licenses needed.

2) SUSTENANCE While fishing, it can be very easy to get hungry.  While sitting out under the

beams of sunlight, your thirsty levels can skyrocket.  Make sure to bring a cooler

on the boat with you that is full of clean water and healthful snacks.

3) LARGE BACK PACKS

There is endless fishing equipment.

Knowing what to pack can be tricky,

but what you do have to know is you

need a large enough pack to fit it all.

Make sure to bring your pack or

packs with you to the fishing store to

see if you can fit all your gear in your

bag before you buy it.

4) APPROPRIATE EQUIPMENT

When going on a fishing trip, you should always make

sure to do research beforehand to ensure you have all

the equipment you will need to prepare for any

situation.  Bring things to not only fish with, but also to

store and cook with.

Some important items include, but are not limited to,

bait, full tackle boxes, coolers full of ice for the caught

fish, swiss army knives, hemostats to cut twine and

remove hooks from fishes' mouths, extra hooks and

twine, and fishing rod gear.

5) MULTIFUNCTIONAL CLOTHING

Dress in clothing that not only

protects you from sunburn, but

also keeps you cool if it is hot out

or warm if it is cool out.  Make

sure there are pockets for small

fishing tools, gear, and tackle, and

keep your electronics in plastic

baggies in a zipped pocket, just in

case you go over board or get wet.

6) NAVIGATION TOOLS

Especially if you are out at sea,

make sure you have proper

navigation tools to guide you

home.

7) RECORDKEEPERS

Camera: Bring a small camera that

can fit in a sealed baggy in your

pocket to keep it safe from water.

Use this to take memorable pictures

for proof of your great time and great

catches.

Tape Measure: Bring a tape measure

to record how big each fish is to 1)

keep you in accordance with rules

and regulations, and 2) see who's

catch is the biggest!

THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!
