How to prepare for board exam:

Hello students! Are you preparing for board examinations? Just one month is remaining in half yearly exam for RBSE Board and other boards. From 15 th

December the half yearly exam will start. A lot of students are studying in board classes.

In all schools students get trained by teachers for all prescribed subjects so that students can score good marks. But without self study and self preparation for exam no one can perform better in exam so self study is compulsory for all subjects. Still you are making just plan to start yourself study? If your answer “Yes”, then this article may help you to make proper plan to begin the preparation for best score.

Print complete syllabus of all subjects: Before starting your study, you must have complete syllabus subject wise. It will take only 60 minutes to collect your syllabus so don’t think that this work is time consuming. You have only 6 subjects in board classes. Give 10 min to each subject syllabus and collect your syllabus. Make proper study Schedule: This is one of important factor when you are planning for your study preparation. A proper time table is must in exam preparation. It plays a vital role to score good marks.

Some students make a tough study time table and after sometime they are unable to follow their own schedule. SO start a linear and easy schedule which you could follow easily.

In beginning give 40 minutes to each subject and follow this schedule for 10 days. Once you ensure that you are following the schedule properly then increase 20 minutes for each subject. This way you can continue your study and easily manage study time and your other work too.

After proper scheduling for study many questions arise in your mind

1. How to study each subject?2. How to cover all topics 3. How to revise the syllabus?4. Which books should be preferred?

First of all I want to clear your 1st question “How to study each subject?”

When you are asking this question you must know your weak and strong subject. Okay!

On the 1st day of your study schedule pick up that subject in that you have more interest rather than other subjects. No doubt you have to cover all your syllabus and subjects. Don’t pick that subject in which you don’t have interest or you are weak. If you will pick your weak subject then you will not be able to sit for 40 minutes on the 1st day.

Pick your strong subject and start your study. After spending 40 minutes with interesting subject try to pick other weak subject and this way you can study properly. This is interesting and effective way to study and follow your time table of study. Is it Okay?

Now next question is How to cover all topics?

For board exam and better score you have to cover all topics of whole syllabus. Pick the syllabus of a subject and select a chapter and start topic wise study. Make proper notes in point so you could remember the topic. Once you complete your topic, revise this. Then choose next topic and make notes of each topic and complete your chapter.

Now study the questions related to this chapter and all topics related to this chapter. Prefer model test papers, previous year question papers, standard books and you can also make your own questions. And now start self test. So your one chapter is ready for exam. Hope I have explained in better way.

Nest question is “ How to revise your syllabus”?

In above answer I have described how to prepare each topic. I also explained how to finish your topic completely. If you are revising each topic then you can easily

revise your all subject syllabus in few days. Once you finish your all chapters, start revising them and also solve model test paper. Make proper notes in revision too.

“Which books should be preferred?

This is one of important question. You can discuss about standard books with your teachers. Teachers always give better advice for books. So prefer standard books which cover whole syllabus.
