1. HydratePlentiful water intake is great for sinuses in all seasons, but it is especially important during the winter, when water intake generally decreases for most people. Not drinking water may also thicken mucus and block sinus exit, trapping toxins inside.

It is important to have a clean dust-free surroundings.Dust and vacuum often in order to get rid of allergens. It is advisable to get heating ducts cleaned and keep bathrooms disinfected as often as possible.

3. Personal HygieneGetting sick can be prevented by washing hands regularly and maintaining personal hygiene to avoid falling sick because of germs. Laundry should be done regularly and winter clothes should be checked for molds. Mold is another enemy of sinuses and clothes and homes must be kept free of it.

A humidifier can be used to control the humidity levels of cold air indoors. A moderate humidity percentage ranging from 35 to 50 is considered helpful for dry mucus membranes.

5.Avoid FirewoodRegardless of how inviting a warm slowly burning fire may seem, fireplaces or campfires should generally be avoided because of the toxins that will almost always cause sinuses to act up.
