How  to  Sign  up  and  Join  Google+    

« If  you  DO  NOT  have  a  Gmail  account,  START  HERE!    If  you  do  already  have  a  Gmail  account  skip  to  page  3  of  this  document.  

 1. Go  to  the  BioScience  Montana  Google+  page.  Click  on  the  “Join  Google+”  button.

2. Now  you’ll  see  the  Create  a  new  Google  Account  page.  Enter  the  required  information  and  click  “Next  step”  when  finished.  Be  sure  to  write  down  your  username  and  password  before  continuing!

3. The  next  page  will  show  your  newly  created  profile.  Go  ahead  and  click  “Next  Step”  again.    (You  can  add  your  photo  now  -­‐-­‐  or  later!)    

     

4. The  last  page  will  welcome  you  to  Google+  and  display  your  new  Gmail  address.    Now  click  “Continue  to  Google+”  to  start  using  Google+.    

     

5. Now  you  should  be  on  the  BioScience  Montana  page  again!  But,  this  time  you’ll  see  a  red  “Follow”  button.  To  follow  the  page,  just  click  the  “Follow”  button.    

     Note:  When  you  click  the  “Follow”  button  you’ll  see  a  list  of  possible  “Circles”  in  which  to  add  this  page.    Just  select  the  “Following”  list  for  now.

You’ll  notice  that  the  red  “Follow”  button  has  changed  to  a  green  “Following”  button.    You’re  now  following  the  BioScience  Montana  page!    

 

     

6. LAST  STEP!  Watch  for  an  invitation  to  JOIN  the  BioScience  Montana  community.  It  will  be  posted  in  your  Google+  timeline  and  sent  to  your  Gmail  account  very  soon!      Click  Preview  community  and  then  click  the  Accept  invitation  button.

1. Go  to  the  BioScience  Montana  Google+  page.    If  you’re  not  signed  in  to  Google  you’ll  see  the  following  page.  Just  click  on  the  “Join  Google+”  button  to  start.    http://gplus.to/BioscienceMontana

2. Next  you’ll  want  to  sign  in  with  your  Google  email  (Gmail)  and  password.    

     

3. Once  you’re  signed  in,  or  if  you  were  already  signed  in  to  Google  but  not  following  the  BioScience  Montana  page,  you’ll  see  this  page  –  with  your  Google  account  user  name  in  the  upper  right  corner.    Just  click  the  “Follow”  button.  That’s  it!    

     

4. LAST  STEP!  Watch  for  an  invitation  to  JOIN  the  BioScience  Montana  community.  It  will  be  posted  in  your  Google+  timeline  and  sent  to  your  Gmail  account  very  soon!      Click  Preview  community  and  then  click  the  Accept  invitation  button.    

5. After  you  accept  the  invitation  you’ll  see  the  Welcome  message  at  the  top  of  the  community  page.  Congratuations!
