How to use APP on your phone to connect IP camera

Download the Camhi APP, which you can get it from Google play or the

Apple Store.

Note: The steps below assume when you connect the camera, make sure it

is near your router, better to keep the distance in 1 meter. And your router

isn’t over loaded, and have space for the camera.

There are two ways to connect the camera.

The first method : Using camera’s hotspot to connect

Step 1

Power the camera (Please do not plug the cable with your routers)

Step 2

Press the reset button for about 10 seconds to reset the camera, you will

hear sound from the camera, shows it resets successfully.

Step 3

Check your mobile phone’s wifi, find a wifi named" IPCAM*******", then

connect this wifi, the password is : 01234567

Make sure the wifi is connected successfully just like the bellowing picture.

Sign in the APP, Using your email address and set a password. If you have

use “Camhi” before, just login. Then click “Add Camera”

Step 5

Click "Search camera from LAN"

Wait 5 seconds, the camera will be connected successfully, click UID #

"MMMM-******-*****".

The UI on your APP is just like the bellowing picture, the camera is

successfully connected, click it you will see real time video on your mobile

This is the way how to connect the camera with your mobile device by using

the camera’s hotspot. The signal will cover 30 feet area. ( If remote control

is needed, then the camera should be connect with your own WiFi. ) Click

the "Edit" button to connect your own Wi-Fi.

Step 7

How to change the wifi singal from camera’s hotspot to your own Wi-Fi

Go to Camera Setting > Wi-Fi setting> Wi-Fi Manager to find your Wi-Fi,

enter the password; click the “Apply” , Wait for 10 seconds, then check the

camera’s online video.

The second method: Using Ethernet Cable to Connect

the Camera with Wi-Fi

Step 1

Power the camera

Step 2

Using the Ethernet cable to connect camera with your router

Step 3

Hold the reset button for around 10 seconds, you will herd a sound form the

camera, shows it resets successfully.

Step 4

Login Camhi APP, after login, the UI on the APP is like below picture, click

“Add Camera”

Choose “wireless installation”, make sure the SSID is your Wi-Fi name, and

enter the correct password., then wait for connecting.

Once the camera is connected, the UID# can be seen

Step 7

Click the UID number, edit the name of camera and the user if you like, then

click” done” on the right cornor.

How to change the wifi singal from camera’s hotspot to your own Wi-Fi

Go to Camera Setting > Wi-Fi setting> Wi-Fi Manager to find your Wi-Fi,

enter the password; click the “Apply” , Wait for 10 seconds, then check the

camera’s online video.

(Tips: the camera will work, once you unplug the cable, it will be offline for

about 2 minutes , after that it will connect with wifi automatically and keep

on working.)

Advanced Camera Settings

Click the button “Settings”, goes to Control Panel to make advanced camera

settings.

1. Change password

select the account which you want to change the password, then select

“Change password”, enter the old password and the new password, click

apply to take effect.

2. Alarm settings

Turn on “ Motion Detection” function, once movement detected, there will be

notification on your moble devices.

“Level”, according to your needs to choose the sensitivity of the motion

triggle.

3. Action with Alarm

Turn on “Alarm Notification”, the alarm notification will only be sent to your

devices when the APP is running.

Turn on ” Alarm SD REC”, the SD card will record 14 second alarm video,

you can check your SD video.

Turn on “E-mail Alarm with Pictures”, when the camera caputer the

movement, it will send a picture with moving object to you by email. If you

want this work, please go to “email setting” to fill the info.

Turn on “Save picture to FTP server”, when the camera caputer the

movement, it will send a picture with moving object to your server.

Turn on “Save videos to FTP server”, when the camera caputer the

movement, it will send will record 14 second alarm video, you can check

your server.

4. Recording Schedule

Set the recording shedule for the video.

If you set 600 seconds, the video willneed 10 minutes to recording, after the

recording process finished, then you can check the video.

Enable the record, the SD card will record video, if not, the SD card will not

work.

Steam settings: “ First stream” means record HD video on your local storage

devices. “ Second Steam” means offer standard definition video primarily for

lower bandwidth situations.

Recording shedule, “None”means you do not need record any video, “All

Days” mens you need the camera record video for you.

5. Audio Settings

Note: Check your devices to see whether it has audio function or not, if

has, then you can change the volume to meet your demands; if not, just

ignore this.

6. Video settings

Set the right mode to meet you needs “First stream” and “Second stream”

as well as ”Frequency”; once it done, please do not forget to click” apply”.

7. Wi-Fi setting

Note: The camera is only compatibale with 2.4G Wi-Fi, before you

connect it, make sure the frequency is right.

Click “Wi-Fi Manager” to change the Wi-Fi for the camera.

8. SD card setting

Note: Please make sure when you install the SD card, the camera is

power off, or you may cause damage to the camera. Choose the brand

like kinston, Samsung, Sony, high quality SD card. Rember the 720P

camera can only support max 64GB card, 1080P will support max

128GB card.

9. Time setting

“Sync with phone time” ----the devices time will be keep the same as

your phone.

“Device time zone”----You can change the device time zone to the right

one. Once you choose the time zone for the device, please do not forget

to click the “√”on the right cornor.

“Phone time zone”----This shows the time and time zone of your phone.

After you change the time zone, please remember to cilck “ Saving time

zone to device” at the bottom of this page.

10. Email Setting

Please note: Yahoo Mail is not supported.

① SMTP server---- Enter "smtp.mail.xxxx.com", for example, if you

use yahoo mail, then enter ” smtp.mail.yahoo.com.

② Server Port---- Enter the server port of your email. For example,

the server port for yahoo is 465 or 587.

③ Encrpyt Type---- Choose ”SSL”

④ Authentication---- Enable this function

⑤ User Name---- enter your email address

⑥ Password---- Enter your email account’s password; Some email

account are not support password thing, instead the verified code is

needed, you have to check your email account settings to find out.

⑦send to---- Enter the same email address as user name

⑧sender---- Enter your email address, kepp the same as user name

⑨subject---- Enter the subject, whatever you like

⑩Test---- After all this done, please click test to find out whether it

Atfter all this done, it will be like the picture below. Please do not forget

to click “aplly” once all done.

11. FTP Setting

Enter you server info then test it, after all done, please rember click”

Apply”.

12. System setting

You can reboot, reset the camera, as well as you can check for the

system updating info.
