HOW WE WORK WITH LANDHOLDERS

OUR OPERATIONS INVOLVE MANY COMMUNITIES, BUSINESSES AND PEOPLE. WE ACKNOWLEDGE THE IMPORTANCE OF DEVELOPING PARTNERSHIPS WITH LANDHOLDERS TO GAIN ACCESS TO NATURAL GAS RESOURCES.

If we anticipate placing infrastructure on your property, we will start working with you well before drilling and construction activities begin. We will negotiate an agreement with you and will discuss:• what we plan to do • where our infrastructure will be built • when we plan to do it• how we will operate on your land • the compensation we will pay.

QUICK FACTS:

• Natural gas operations are conducted under Queensland Government approved leases and environmental authorities.

• The Land Access Code provides mandatory conditions for companies while operating on private properties.

• Staff and contractors must abide by land access, road and safety rules.

The Queensland Government has developed a Land Access Code which includes mandatory conditions we must follow when we operate on your property.

In line with these conditions, we conduct negotiations in good faith and recognise that our business is fundamentally linked to developing a strong working relationship with you.

Work with a valid work permit when required

Verify isolation before work begins and use the specified life protecting equipment

Do not walk under a suspended load

Conduct gas tests when required

Obtain authorisation before entering a confined space

Do not smoke outside designated smoking areas

Obtain authorisation before overriding or disabling safety critical equipment

Wear your seat belt

No alcohol or drugs while working or driving

Protect yourself against a fall when working at height

Follow prescribed journey management plans

While driving, do not use your phone and do not exceed speed limits

We are committed to preventing harm to employees, contractors, local communities and the environment. All staff and contractors are required to follow 12 Life-Saving Rules.

LIFE-SAVING RULES

Shell’s QGC business uses in-vehicle monitoring systems (IVMS) to ensure safety and compliance with all road rules. IVMS monitors for: • adherence to speed limits• safe driving practices such as harsh breaking • the use of seatbelts • two-hourly rest stops.

ROAD AND TRAFFIC SAFETYOn private property, special speed limits apply for QGC vehicles to minimise dust, noise and ensure safe passing:

• 20 km/hr within 200 metres of dwellings

• 40 km/hr elsewhere on rural residential properties.
