PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

It is hard to believe that we are in the final term for the year! As always there are lots of

great things happening in our school this term in the lead up to the Christmas break.

Make sure you keep up to date with our calendar, utilise the See Saw app to see what

is happening in classrooms and receive notifications from our new app –Skoolbag—

access details are over the page.

Major events this term to look out for include: 2019 Kindergarten Transitions, 2019 Year 7

Albury HS Transitions, Snake Tails interactive show, Life Education Program (Healthy

Harold), Year 6 fundraisers, Swimming School and our annual celebration of learning—

Presentation Day.

Executive staff are currently beginning our planning for 2019. We would greatly

appreciate information from new families who may be planning on sending their

children to our school. If you are aware of new families to town; or friends or family who

may be relocating to Howlong, then a heads up to them to make contact with us

would be great. Families who may know that their circumstances are changing and

they won’t be with us next year are also urged to contact us.

On Friday morning our Endangered Species Garden (Larmer St entry) will receive its

dedication sign. Mrs Svarc, the students involved in the project and Peter Dawe from

Royal Botanical Gardens will install the sign and add to the plantings. Looking forward to

seeing the end result!

Today in garden class we dug

holes to put capsicum and

eggplants in. We squeezed them

out of their pots and carefully did

a well around each plant. Allira

Watts 1/2CP

Today we planted rockmelon seeds. We planted

them in the orchard. The seeds were small and

yellowy. Ella Breden 1/2CP

Today we planted bush pumpkins.

They only grow small. We planted 4 of

them. My group worked well and we

had a good time. Mia Howard 1/2CP.
