Teekay Petrojarl is the largest operator of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units in the North Sea and fourth largest worldwide. A total of 11 units, of which two are currently at shipyards undergoing modifications, are operating on the Norwegian, UK and Brazilian Continental Shelves. Head-quartered in Trondheim, Norway, with regional/operations offices in Scotland, Brazil and Norway, our 1200 employees possess a unique combination of operational, technical and project expertise.

COMPANy HISTORy
2015: Two new contracts signed – redeployment of Petrojarl I for QGEP in Brazil and FPSO conversion, in partnership with Odebrecht, of shuttle tanker Navion Norvegia for Petrobras on the Libra Field. Petrojarl Knarr achieved first oil on 18th March.
2014: Petrojarl Knarr delivered from Samsung yard, Korea.
2013: Contracted the building of the FPSO Petrojarl Knarr. The company’s 10th unit is under construction and is scheduled for delivery in 2014. Achieved first oil on FPSO Cidade de Itajaí 16 February and on Voyageur Spirit 13 April.
2012: Signed a joint venture with the Brazilian company, Odebrecht Oil and Gas (OOG) for the chartering and operation of our ninth unit, the FPSO Cidade de Itajaí.
2011: Acquired three FPSO units from Sevan Marine, which were rechristened Hummingbird Spirit, Piranema Spirit and Voyageur Spirit.
2010: Signed contract with Petrobras for construction of FPSO Cidade de Itajaí.
2008: FPSO Cidade de Rio das Ostras, our fifth unit, achieved first oil on 31 March. Teekay acquired 100% of the shares in Petrojarl ASA.
2006: Petrojarl ASA on Oslo Stock Exchange 30 June.
1999: Purchased fourth unit, Petrojarl Varg, from Saga Petroleum.
1998: First oil for third unit, Petrojarl Banff.
1997: Petroleum Geo-Services Group (PGS) acquired Golar-Nor Offshore (GNO), which is subsequently renamed PGS Production AS. First oil for second unit, Petrojarl Foinaven, in November.
1986: Petrojarl I, our first unit, achieves first oil.
1984: World’s first purpose-built, harsh environment FPSO, ordered.
1974: Golar-Nor Offshore established as drilling contractor on 23 July.
