    Purpose:

    Study group members come together to read and discuss a book of theirmutual interest. It is a learning experience where in members share their

Journaling is also recommended as anaccompanying activity for those who choose to do so.

    Reading Group Guide:

    To assist in the organization and implementation of this Book Study Group a Book ReadingGuide will be issued to all participants. Participants are also encouraged to search and to bringrelated support resources regarding the book to share with the others members of the StudyGroup. Perhaps you will decide to write your critique or review of the book.

    Facilitator:

    The primary role of the facilitator is to ensure that that the conversation is shared and flows smoothly,that the discussion remains focused, participants listen to each other as they relate their own lifeexperiences and insights, and to keep the discussion relevant to the book. Participants of the BookStudy Group will generate a list of guidelines to follow for ensuring that their engagement becomes ameaningful learning experience.

    Charles J. Hicks, II, Ph.D. will serve as the Study Group Facilitator. He is a life-longlearner who is exploring the experience of living in that 65+ life-era. He offers acomposite of thirty-five years preparation and applied experience in the field of Human Resources Development within the Public School, Academic, Governmental,

    Corporate, and the Not-for-Profit Sector. Currently he is an independent ExecutiveCoach assisting leaders in addressing their challenges, achieving their goals, andoptimizing their effectiveness.
