HSC Results
Congratulations to our HSC students, their hard-work
and dedication has been rewarded with the HSC results
for 2019. This year’s HSC students have produced the
best result since 2016, with one student achieving the
Distinguished Achievers list. We also had 9 students who
achieved a Band 5, the best result since 2016 and a
significant improvement on 2018. The results also
demonstrate a 34% improvement of students achieving
Band 4 compared to 2018.
Congratulations to our HSC students, their families, their
teachers and the school community on supporting the
Class of 2019 to achieve their best in the HSC. Best
wishes to all our graduating class with the future.

Eschol Park Primary School Music Program
EVHS has partnered with Eschol Park Public School this term to run a music program with the Stage 3 students and teachers. Mr Law and Mr Biddle taught students about the concepts of music through a performance of the song 'I Feel Good' by James Brown. Students learned about musical structure, duration, and pitch by performing their parts of the song using ukuleles, glockenspiels, body percussion and their voices. At their end of year assembly, all Stage 3 students performed 'I Feel Good' in front of an audience of their parents, conducted by Mr Law and Mr Biddle. Students gained musical skills in preparation for High School music lessons, and developed their confidence for public performance.
Claymore Public School After School Mentorship Program
This term EVHS piloted a Mentorship program with Claymore Public School. The Mentorship Program involved ambassadors from EVHS attending the After School Clubs run by Claymore PS. This term the Clubs on offer to the students were Gardening and Dancing. Two of our students, Lorelai and Polu, were the first ambassadors selected to participate in this new initiative. They worked with the Teachers from Claymore Public School and mentored the students during the activities. We are hoping to continue the Mentorship Program next year, to maintain connections with one of our local School and build relationships with incoming students.
