Two Kinds of TasksTwo Kinds of Tasks

Course tasks : these are created by an instructor. You can report on your progress and your instructor can view the status of your tasks.

Personal tasks : You can create, modify, update the progress of, and remove your own tasks. Instructors cannot see your personal tasks.

mymyLTULTU•The Blackboard Tools menu is available on the left side of myLTU (the personal page you see when you log into Blackboard).

In myLTU, you can use Blackboard Tools to update your personal online Tasks list.

Add TaskAdd Task TemplateTemplateClick Tasks on the

Blackboard Tools menu.

Click the button.

The Add Task template will appear.

Creating a Personal TaskCreating a Personal Task

1. Add a title for your task.2. Enter more details in the description field.3. Set a Due Date.4. Choose high, normal, or low priority.5. Choose status: Not Started, In Progress, or

Completed.6. Click Submit, the Task will be added to your

list.

Sorting Multiple TasksYou can sort multiple tasks by priority, date, or status.

In the task view, there are four column headings: Priority, Subject, Status, and Date. For example:

1. Click on Due Date to sort by due date.2. Click on Priority to sort tasks by priority.

The Tasks feature in the Tools area of your Course Site displays any Tasks your instructor has set within the course.
