The load-bearing frame is made of poplar heartwood, with some connecting elements in poplar plywood; the wood is naturally seasoned for at least three years in stacks on the company’s premises. Dap joints unite the various parts of the frame with securing cylindrical dowels. The seat webbing consists of elastic polypropylene and natural latex belts in two sizes and with different elasticity. Belts 9 cm wide—with 20% elasticity—are fixed parallel to each other and perpendicularly to the length of Apollo; these are interlaced by 5 cm wide belts with 80% elasticity. The frame and the fixed seat cushion are padded with sheets of resilient CFC-free polyurethane foam with differing density (between 35 and 40 kg/m³), covered with bonded plush and polyester wadding. The movable back cushion is filled with Tecnolat, a mixture of 100% silicon-coated hollow staple polyester and natural latexfoam cut into small lozenge-shaped pieces. This innovative material provides the same softness as feathers, with the additional advantage of a “memory”effect—after pressure has been exerted on the cushion it automatically returns to its initial shape without having to plump it up manually. The continuous seam-welded supports in laser-contoured steel arestove-enameled with epoxy powder paints.

The occasional table has a single, continuous seam-welded frame with four laser-contoured steel feetstove-enameled with epoxy powder paints; the top is etched plate glass.
