Branch Dedicated Line Access of Anhui Bureau of Statistics

Solution

Background The provincial backbone network of Anhui Bureau of Statistics and backbone

networks of Bureau of Statistics in cities achieved high bandwidth and

performance, but networks of Bureau of Statistics in counties face the following

problems:

1 Low network bandwidth affects data and service forwarding.

2 Packet loss and jitter often occur on old devices.

3 ISDN dialup has narrow bandwidth and high expenses.

Each county deploys one AR2220 and leases one 2-Mbit/s MSTP dedicated line

to replace the 128 kbit/s ISDN line. All countries reserve original SSL VPN links.

When the 2-Mbit/s MSTP link becomes faulty or is disconnected, services can

be switched to the SSL VPN line.

The county network reconstruction improves network bandwidth, and

implements service exchange of Anhui Bureau of Statistics in the province,

cities, and counties. Dual link backup of counties ensures service real-

timeness.

Background

As business of the Guangdong branch of Sinopec expands and more

services are provided, gas stations require higher bandwidth (from 2 Mbit/s

to 10 Mbit/s) for OA, billing, surveillance, and other services. The egress

routers TP-LINKs on the live network have become the bandwidth

bottlenecks on the branch network.

Deploys 2200 sets of AR1220 routers in gas stations of the Guangdong

branch. The AR1220 routers provide distributed multi-service processing

capabilities through multi-core CPUs and have a high forwarding performance

of 450 kpps. Additionally, the routers integrate data, voice, security, routing,

and VPN functions, provide various interfaces, and use a carrier-class

reliability design to guarantee 7x24 service.

Good forwarding capability and powerful service processing capability of

AR1220 routers meet service requirements, and there is sufficient access

capacity for service development in the future.

connects to the carrier network to provide local data exchange, communication with vendors,

between the headquarters and branch in Chicago are smoothly transmitted.
