Activities and facilities Hiking and horseback riding are popular on Huddart’s extensive trail system. A segment of the Bay Area Ridge Trail connects to nearby Wunderlich County Park. The archery range is managed by the Kings Mountain Archers; for information, call 650-241-8440. Huddart also offers many drop-in picnic areas, as well as group picnic areas, picnic shelters, and an amphitheater available for reservation. Several of the reservation areas include volleyball courts and horseshoe pits. Visitors may also reserve group campgrounds and youth camps. Many miles of trails give visitors the chance to pass through cool riparian corridors, traverse steep hillsides, and enjoy views of the Bay. Just past the Town of Woodside on King’s Mountain Road, this stunning forest park and its group picnic areas and shelters provide a wonderful rural setting for group events and camping. The Peninsula AIDS Memorial Grove is dedicated in memory of those who have courageously battled AIDS. Fires Barbeques are allowed only in barbeque pits using charcoal; no portable barbeques. Campfires are subject to fire risk conditions; campers receive campfire instructions upon entering the Park.
