Become a Global Leader

Hult's unique heritage Formerly known as the Arthur D. Little School of

Management, Hult International Business School is the world’s only truly

global business school and has been at the forefront of educating global

business leaders since 1964. In a world that is increasingly intercon-

nected, it is the people who can transcend nationality and culture who will

thrive in the international business world. We specialize in training global

business leaders. At Hult, you will find some of the finest academic minds

as well as one of the most diverse student bodies. We are dedicated to

breaking down barriers of geography, language, and culture.

Accelerate your career Our programs are designed to significantly

enhance your career prospects by strengthening your ability to contribute

meaningfully to your business and community. To this end, we seek indi-

viduals who are ready to be actively engaged in the global economy both

professionally and personally.

Get plugged into the world Our students have the rare opportunity to

experience the world firsthand while getting their degrees. With our Global

Rotation Program, Hult students can choose to study on any campus

combination of Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai, and Shanghai. It is

clear that success in business is no longer confined to one location—that’s

why we help our students get plugged into the world.

I look forward to personally welcoming you to Hult.

What Makes Us Different?

For over 40 years, we have attracted top international students to

our business school. Our campuses around the world help train

global business leaders. What makes us so successful?

Hult is in the world’s top 1% of best business schools

Hult is ranked in the top

20 business schools in the

U.S. and top 30 in the world

by The Economist (2010),

and currently ranks in the

Financial Times’ top 100

business schools in the world (up 31 places from

2010). These rankings recognize our uniquely

international focus, the quality of our program

and faculty, and our exceptional student body

and alumni network. Our students’ ability to find

employment and increase their earning power, as

well as the diversity of the industries they enter

after completion, are key factors represented in

these rankings.

Hult’s Global Campus Rotation provides an extraordinary opportunity to study in the world’s fastest growing economies

An international perspective

is crucial to understanding

today’s business issues. Hult’s

Global Campus Rotation

Program allows students to

gain critical insights into the

world’s key economies. Students begin at their

home campus in either Boston, San Francisco,

London, Dubai, or Shanghai, where they will

receive the same fully accredited education using

an identical curriculum. During their elective

modules, students are given the option to rotate

to up to two other Hult campuses, expanding

their international exposure and global networks.

Going beyond the classroomWe turn conventional classroom

learning on its head—with

cutting-edge technology,

executive speakers, and

innovative fast-track programs.

All incoming MBA and Master

students are given an iPad with access to virtual

tutorial sessions, where they can take learning

to the next level. Expert tutors will help students

navigate any trouble areas or answer any questions

they may run into during their degree, through a

series of optional virtual tutorial sessions. HultTV, a

web-streaming platform, allows students to access

our classrooms at any time, from anywhere, and to

watch Hult professors and classmates debate live

or top speakers present current trends and industry

insights. We also ensure that our students are

exposed to leading business experts and industry

professionals with our Executive Speaker

Series, hosted across all campuses. Current

speakers include Steve Forbes, President and

CEO of Forbes magazine, and John Sculley, former

President of PepsiCo. Past speakers have included

Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, and Michael

Dukakis, former U.S. Presidential candidate.

Hult’s LEAP Method—board-level training at a Fortune 500 company*

Hult is the pioneer of Action

Learning, integrating classroom

teaching with real-life situations.

Our curriculum is based on

three components: “Learn,”

“Experience,” and “Action

Project”—the LEAP Method.

Theory is taught in the classroom through lectures

and required readings. The theory is then put to

the test through case studies of actual business

problems and business simulations. An integral

part of our LEAP Method is the Action Project,

which gives you the chance to apply the skills you

learned in the classroom and to work as part of a

small team focused on solving a current business

problem for the world’s leading companies.

A truly international student body

For over 40 years, we have

been training leaders from all

over the world. Our current

student body is made up of

experienced professionals

from over 80 countries. The

breadth of experience, insight, and cultural

perspectives that our students bring to the

classroom creates an extraordinary learning

environment.

Our world-class faculty possess real-world business experience

Hult’s global faculty has

outstanding academic

credentials combined with

extensive real-life experience

running and managing

successful international

businesses and consultancies. Many are

actively engaged as directors of corporations,

consultants, or managers of growth companies.

Projects:

Top-Ranked Business Programs

The Economist (2010) ranked Hult

International Business School in the top

20 business schools in the U.S. and top

30 in the world. Hult currently ranks in the

Financial Times’ top 100 business schools

in the world (up 33 places from 2010), and

is 1st in International Experience and 5th in

International Business.

Global Campus Rotation

An international perspective is crucial to understanding

today’s business issues. Hult’s programs offer an

extraordinary opportunity to live and study at any of

our campuses in Boston, San Francisco, London,

Dubai, or Shanghai.

Live and study in some of the world’s most

influential cities

Hult’s Global Campus Rotation gives you the

chance to study at up to three of our five

campuses. This provides Hult students with a

unique opportunity to experience firsthand the

emerging markets of the Middle East or China,

or to develop a broad network of corporate

contacts across multiple continents. Once you

start your program on your home campus, you

can decide where to take elective courses.

Imagine starting your degree in London and then

spending time in Shanghai before graduating in

Boston—it’s a truly life-changing experience that

only Hult can deliver.

Seamless experience, from Hult to Hult

Our Global Campus Rotation program is fully

integrated into our curriculum. In contrast to

most business schools that offer their students

study abroad opportunities through exchange

programs with other schools, Hult prides itself

on being the full provider of the Global Campus

Rotation. No matter which Hult campus you

are on, you will use the same electronic library,

Course Management System, Career Services,

and Student Services. Our global campus

network ensures that your academic experience

is uninterrupted and hassle-free.

Bringing the study of international business

to life

The advantage of our Global Campus Rotation is

immediately clear when you consider the benefits

of learning international business in a global

setting. Discuss Islamic finance at our Dubai

campus and then enjoy a fascinating roundtable

discussion with the leading bankers of the

region. Debate a case study at our Shanghai

campus about the manufacturing industry and

go on a factory tour of the world’s largest textile

factory the next day. International business

cannot be taught in the classroom—nothing

can replace the experience of really getting

an on-the-ground understanding of what is

happening in different parts of the world.

“Our Global Campus Rotation is at the center of

our mission to educate global business leaders.

This unique program allows our students to gain

a truly international perspective and experience

firsthand the business practices of some of the

world’s most exciting economies.”

Dr. Stephen Hodges

President of Hult International Business School

Expand your international network

Engage with classmates from other campuses

during your Global Campus Rotation. Build

valuable contacts as you study alongside new

faces and learn from different faculty on our

campuses. The Career Services and Student

Services teams on each campus will ensure

that you have many opportunities to network

with your peers and industry professionals alike.

No other school offers such an opportunity to

graduate with a valuable network of friends and

contacts all over the world.

“Shanghai was a tremendous eye-opener. During

my rotation, I acknowledged what I’ve been

reading in newspapers for months—China is

truly the new direction of the global economy

and Shanghai is the fi nal destination for future

decision makers. Chinese people are eager

to learn, understand, and be understood. As

a modern leader, you just cannot miss the

opportunity to live and work in China ... and

master eating with chopsticks!”

Alessandro Apicella

Italy, Class of 2010

“The most valuable thing Hult has provided me is

the opportunity to connect with people from differ-

ent parts of the world. By interacting with people

from every continent, you learn about different

customs and business practices and how the for-

mer may affect the latter. This helps you prepare

for a career in any part of the world.”

Lola Adenkan

Nigeria, Class of 2010

When: Module C or D

Focus: Hult MBA students who would like to certify their expertise in a chosen subject area can earn gradu-

ate-level professional certificates. These certificates are specifically designed to demonstrate to an employer

that a level of expertise has been reached beyond that commonly required of an MBA graduate. They attest

that the materials and techniques utilized are consistent with modern principles and best practices, and are

evidence of knowledge and skills that can be used immediately. Students can earn a certificate within the

one-year MBA program. Each certificate comprises a total of 9 credit hours of tuition plus an exam.

Certificates (optional)

Certificate in Finance Management

of financial affairs is the foremost

priority in any business. Consequently,

an understanding of the principles for

building and sustaining the financial

health of a firm will strengthen the

value of any professional involved in

business. The Certificate in Finance

gives students a broad, thorough, and

up-to-date foundation in finance and the

practical tools needed to be successful

in a financial management role. The

certificate can be earned by studying

three finance electives. These electives

cover a wide range of topics from

financial statement analysis and Islamic

banking and to derivatives and equity

valuation.

Certificate in Solutions Marketing In

today’s hyper-competitive marketplace,

a successful organization needs to

be seen by its customers as a trusted

advisor and problem solver. Vendors

can no longer simply announce the

introduction of a new product innovation

and expect customers to flock to their

websites and retail outlets. Instead,

their marketing must answer the key

customer question, “How can your

product solve my problem, improve my

operations, or contribute significantly to

my financial situation?” This is known

as Solutions Marketing. A successful

Solutions Marketer needs to be a

combination of a “change agent, fortune

teller, and resource integrator.” With

intense competition for employment

as a marketing professional, the

Certificate in Solutions Marketing gives

students an edge over other candidates

because of the special skills and

knowledge that they will acquire in this

rapidly growing area. The Certificate

is designed specifically for marketing

professionals who are looking to

differentiate themselves and who seek a

deeper understanding of new aspects of

marketing that are not possible to gain

through a standard MBA.

Certificate in Innovation Successfully

managing innovation requires people

with the skills and confidence to act

on opportunities in rapidly changing

environments. Learn the critical

approaches to managing innovation

from “Concept to Customer.” Successful

completion of the program recognizes

demonstrated knowledge, skills, and

practice in Innovation Strategy, Innovation

Capacity, and Innovation Discipline.

Developed in partnership with the Global

Innovation Management Institute—a

professional membership organization

composed of innovation executives,

academics, and practitioners—Hult’s

Certificate in Innovation expands your

mind and skill set.

Certificate in Strategic Equity

Valuation This certificate identifies

individuals who have gained a higher-

level understanding of what drives

business value and stock prices. Based

on the latest techniques employed by

leading investment banks and hedge

funds, a qualitative and quantitative

framework for better planning and

analyzing businesses is the focus.

The Certificate in Strategic Equity

Valuation covers advanced quantitative

methods for evaluating and predicting

stock market valuations. The Institute

of Strategy & Valuation, a group of

professional investment managers,

corporate advisors, and business

leaders, designed this certificate.

Certificate in Management

Consulting Effective business leaders

can dissect complex problems,

develop plans, and provide meaningful

recommendations. Many of the most

powerful business frameworks, skills,

and behaviors have been developed by

leading management consultants. These

consulting skills and competencies

are no longer the exclusive territory of

external professional services, as the

world’s leading companies increasingly

employ them. Developed jointly by

Hult and the Center for Innovation,

Excellence and Leadership, the

Certificate in Management Consulting

covers the techniques employed by the

world’s leading consulting companies:

McKinsey, Bain, Monitor, and Boston

Consulting Group.

due to business reasons, we allow students

students an immediate head start in launching

their careers. This degree is particularly well

suited for recent university graduates (business

lum delivers an understanding of today’s global

Marketing has changed for good. Digital media

In many markets, online advertising expenditure

has already overtaken television expenditure and

a result, all marketers must have an in-depth

understanding of digital techniques. Those who

do will find themselves in great demand; those

who don’t will be forever playing catch-up. Hult is

one of the first business schools in the world to

offer a Master of Digital Marketing degree to equip

students with the strategic business and marketing

skills necessary to thrive in today’s digital age.

A highly relevant education in both business

and digital marketing

Hult’s Master of Digital Marketing has been

designed in collaboration with the leading

provider of best practice and education for the

digital sector, Econsultancy. During a single

level knowledge in both business and digital

marketing provides a platform for a diverse and

exciting range of career opportunities.

The key to a promising career

Our program equips you with the knowledge

and practical skills needed to become the digital

marketing “whiz” in any organization. Graduates

will be able to manage online campaigns and can

expect to work for employers such as advertising

agencies (e.g., BBDO, DDB, and WPP) advising

clients on their digital marketing strategies; retail

and fast moving consumer goods companies

(e.g., Tesco, John Lewis, and Procter & Gamble)

that increasingly market their products and

services online; or technology companies (e.g.,

Google and Microsoft) that are shaping the digital

marketing arena. Potential jobs include: Online

Marketing Manager, e-commerce Manager, Web

Analyst Manager, Online Business Optimization

Specialist, and Social Media Manager.

Action Project provides hands-on experience

Conduct a groundbreaking study on blogging or

devise an e-marketing strategy for a real-world

company; Hult’s Action Projects allow you to

gain practical business and digital marketing

skills while helping actual businesses address

issues around innovation and growth.

Action Projects provide hands-on experience

Social Entrepreneurship is about “thinking” and

“doing.” Hult’s Action Projects ask students to

generate solutions to global problems. This can

include developing innovative social responsibility

or sustainability strategies or corporate clients

or leading NGOs, or consulting for government

agencies and think-tanks on policy options to

combat social barriers. Hult’s Master of Social

Entrepreneurship is unique in providing students

with these opportunities—not just in the class-

room, but in the field. Hult’s Action Projects, the

capstone of the program, challenge students to

put the knowledge and skills they have learned

to the test as they consult for actual organiza-

tions facing real-world international challenges.

Career opportunities for Master of Social

Entrepreneurship graduates

Hult’s Master of Social Entrepreneurship equips

you with the ability to think globally and with the

confidence, skill, and drive to solve large-scale

problems. Graduates will be empowered to act

as effective leaders of change, and typically

work in the following sectors:

• NGO management

• Public policy

• The United Nations and other international

development agencies

• Corporate social responsibility departments

within multinational organizations
