• Phase I – November 2008 - Introduced Web based system with Position

concept for A&P and Classified• Phase II – November 3rd, 2009 - Brings Faculty, Students and Affiliated

Workers into HRMS. - DEFINE from an HR perspective goes away.• Phase II.5 – March 2010 - Brings the Budget process into HRMS

- Mass Update Capability

• Positions are required for everyone - Faculty, Staff, Students and Affiliated Workers.

• Appointment document creation and management will no longer be done by departments across campus. Appointments will be fully generated out of HRMS when any employment action is taken.

• Appointments are replaced by Assignments.• Category of Affiliated Workers - volunteers,

contractors, visiting researches, etc. is introduced.• Concept of Pooled positions is introduced for Student

and Affiliated Workers.

• Position now contains funding data. • Multiple appointments to accommodate

separate funding will no longer be necessary.• Partial day leave without pay (LWOP)

processing is available.
