    Hungarian hospitals facing drugstop-supply

    The supply of drugs to the majority of Hungarys 160hospitals may be stopped shortly unless the governmentcan commit more funds to pay hospital expenses,according to the BMJ.

    The threat comes from the countrys majorpharmaceutical wholesalers. A PharmaceuticalWholesalers Association report estimates that morethan Ft3 billion* ($US10.7 million) is owed by as manyas 120 hospitals. The association is calling for urgentaction from the government to change the currentsystem of hospital financing.
