M F Hussain repeatedly said over the years whenever the issue of the distasteful renderings of Hindu deities came up : “It was always out of respect. I never meant to offend anyone or any religion”
He was on another occasion asked why was Hitler portrayed as naked?

Our Marxist comrades tried to do it again!Clearly supporting China during the Indo-
China war was not enough.They wanted to prove their secular
credentials, so they decided to award Hussain, the Raja Ravi Varma award.
However it was prevented by the Kerala high court.

Satirical cartoons depicting Prophet Mohammed published in the Danish newspaper “Jyllands-Posten” in September’05.
According to Islam, depictions of the Prophet was similar to idolatry and therefore strictly forbidden.
