    E EARTH: Circuit breaker earth switch to be applied.

    L LOCKED: High voltage lock to be applied.

    T TAGGED: CP Isolation Tag to be applied with Procedure No. (above) written on it.

    CHECK DEAD: Item to be tested and proved dead with HV phasing sticks.

    Phasing sticks to be tested before and after test.

    DEISOLATE: Tags placed under this procedure to be removed

    INSULATION TEST: Phase to earth to be checked using a 5kV megger.

    1 Check the SWBD Grounding is Connected at both Ends. Switch board is barricaded. Confirm Proper Fire Extinguishers are available.

    2 Make Sure All Outgoing Motor Feeder are isolated and Padlocked in Outgoing Cable Earthed Position.

    3 Make Sure All Outgoing Transformer Feeder are isolated and Padlocked in Outgoing Cable Earthed Position.

    4 Check the TG 3101A incomer breaker is Racked out.

    5 Confirm the Bus A, Bus B VT Fuses are inserted and Outgoing MCB is OPEN (Open)

    isolated and Padlocked in Incomer Cable in Earthed Position.

    7 Confirm the Bus Tie A-B Breaker is Open and racked out in Isolated position.

    8 Confirm the Bus A & B Earth Switch is In OPEN Position

    9 Confirm the Bus A is meggered with 5kV Megger and Record its results. R Y+B Grounded _______ Mohms Y R+B Grounded _______ Mohms B R+Y Grounded _______ Mohms

    10 Confirm the Bus B is meggered with 5kV Megger and Record its results. R Y+B Grounded _______ Mohms Y R+B Grounded _______ Mohms B R+Y Grounded _______ Mohms

    11 Confirm the Phasing Sticks are Working and In Good shape. HV Gloves and Rescue Sticks are Readily available.

    12 Run the TG 3101A and Excite TG 3101A.

    Cable side and Measure the Phase & Line Voltages. R-Y ____kV Y-B ____kV R-B ____kV

    16 At the TG-3101A Cable Side VT Secondary terminal check the Voltage and Phase Rotation is correct. R-Y ___Volts Y-B ___Volts R-B___Volts Freq ___ Hz

    17 Rack in TG-3101A circuit Breaker and Initiate CLOSE Command From TG Control Panel.

    18 On the Bus Tie Breaker Panel Lift the shutters of the Bus A side and Measure the Phase & Line Voltages. R-Y ____kV Y-B ____kV R-B ____kV And Confirm the Voltages are same in the Bus A Voltmeter

    19 At the Bus A VT Secondary terminal check the Voltage and Phase Rotation is correct. CLOSE the VT Outgoing MCB to CSP R-Y ___Volts Y-B ___Volts R-B___Volts Freq ___ Hz

    22 Confirm the Voltage is Steady and no abnormal noises are heard.
