Hybrid TESTFEST Objectives
3
Ref. Objective
1. Test Vehicle-to-Infrastructure ITS-G5 and Cellular communications, by providing a UK “Hybrid Testfest”.
2. Test four different services (GLOSA, IVS, RWW and PVD) using ITS-G5 communications.
3. Test three different services (GLOSA, IVS and RWW) using cellular communications and the InterCor IF2 protocol.
4. Use both real and simulated service information distributed directly into vehicles and collected from participating fleet vehicles (i.e. CAM and PVD).
5. Investigate and assess the performance of the communication technologies.
6. Investigate and assess interoperability issues between different InterCor member states.
7. Utilise the findings of the evaluation to input into the redevelopment of the service profiles and technical specifications.
8. Support the European harmonisation of C-ITS technology.

Security
Emyr Thomas – Highways England
34
ITS-G5 Security
3
Certificate formats to comply with ETSI TS103 097 v1.2.1
A standalone UK Hybrid TESTFEST trust domain will be established, dedicated for the duration of the TESTFEST
Manual distribution; participants expected to load certificates onto their devices
No ITS-G5 CRL or CTL - Certificate validity expires at the end of the TESTFEST
35
Cellular Security
3
Each vehicle subscribes to one service provider (home, foreign or a participant cellular SP)
Commercial environment - a vehicle subscribes to one or more service providers
Security is the responsibility of the SP
Data integrity and authenticity: security layered between the Cellular SP and the Cellular OBU not at a message level (like with ITS-G5).
An interface specification for cellular communication is in development and will be communicated to all participants to ensure interoperability.
