Ongoing dialogue with our customers has recently resulted in customisable VPUs for testing of multiple fuel injectors using one test bench, as well as high-performance HPUs reducing ”pumping time” during maintenance by up to 80%.

VPU units – fl exible fuel injector test solutions for 2- and 4-stroke enginesApproved and recommended by MAN Diesel and Wärtsilä for their 2- and 4-stroke engines, IOP Marine’s air-powered Valve Pressure-test Units are compatible with injectors and safety valves from hundreds of different engines. Often one unit is used for the testing of all present injectors and safety valves, thereby saving money, space and time.

The VPUs can be delivered with electronic pressure controllers, digital readout, advanced protection systems and multi-valve holders.

HPU units – fast, powerful and reliable powerpacksPowerful hydraulic tools require reliable power sources. Together with MAN Diesel, Wärtsilä and 2-stroke engine owners worldwide, IOP Marine has developed a range of mobile Hydraulic Power Units delivering up to 5 times the normal speed when needed, while fulfi lling the requirement for pressures above 3000 bar - in other words, a HPU unit from IOP Marine can loosen a cylinder cover for the world’s largest diesel engines in less than fi ve minutes.

The HPUs are not only suitable for closed-circuit tools, but can also be used for the fl oating of camshafts, opening of SKF couplings and so on. Special operation modes make it possible to operate several types of tool series safely with one unit.

Accessories and spares A large range of accessories is available to extend the functionalities of IOP Marine units. These include:

Multi-injector holders and thrust pieces

Multi-injector holders & connectors: Test all injector types and safety valves in one set-up. Ask for a customised valve holder.

Hydraulic tools for dis- and re-assembly of fuel injectors

Replacing clumsy manually powered spanners, our easy-to-use hydraulic tool can be used for easy and precise tensioning/loosening of the nuts. Hydraulic tools can be integrated in the injector holder, or work as a stand-alone unit. These tools are approved & recommended by Wärtsilä for their 2- and 4-stroke engine injectors.

VPU oil mist separator

Developed at the request of one of the world’s leading shipping companies, this small yet very effective fi lter technology separates the oil mist from the air in the VPU spray chamber, resulting in improved chamber visibility. More importantly: It improves the quality of the working conditions in the area. The solution is approved by the Danish Maritime Authority and eliminates the need for special air purifi cation / ventilation around the VPU unit.

Workshop EquipmentIOP offers a full range of fuel injector test rigs and workshop injector valve-holders. The top-of-the-line VPA test rigs are PLC controlled and have functionalities like touchpad, built-in printers, data logging and PC data transfer. Combining it with a rotating multi valveholder gives the workshop a powerful and space-effi cient tool to provide full service to all diesel engine customers.

Additionally IOP Marine can supply grinders and other tools for injector maintenance, as well as hydraulic jacks for engine alignment and HPU units for use during general on-board engine maintenance.
