HYDROPROVIDES THE NECESSARY TOOLS

AND BECOMES A PALLIATIVESOLUTION, THAT WILL BUY SOME

TIME UNTIL THE FINAL ONE ISACHIEVED, JUST PLAYING THE

WATER GAME.

Page 3: Hydro, the Water Social Network. Presentation

How does HYDRO positively impact the severedrought situation in California by leveraging

new and exponentially growing technologies tohelp reduce water consumption in California?

Page 4: Hydro, the Water Social Network. Presentation

New technologies, within the following years, willprovide some kind of solution regarding water

supply. And Moores Law insure us that a hugetransformation regarding the way we live, will

take place. We need to move out from linearthinking. The way we interface with other things ischanging. IoT is here to stay and Water supply and

usage, are not an exception.

HYDRO meantime, will become a cooperativesolution to drought. How? By providing certaintools, information, metrics, IoT plumbing devicesand appliances, all together in combination with

the Water Avatar developed by the end-user. Sountil final solution arrives, HYDRO will be part ofyour lives, monitoring your water usage trough a

game. You will be playing within your neighbors, relatives, friends, and you will be motivated to

reduce your water usage not only because of thebill, but because competition and cooperation, soyou will join the desire to do better than others,

HYDROEach family member will have to play the game, with its own avatar. Once a day he will have to

connect and input its water usage.

Once your home avatar is created, is time to playby inviting your friends, neighbors and family. Theavatar that achieves the 25% water save goal first

is the winner. Once you are there, you can thencompete at the next level, joining a group and

playing against a neighbor group. As you reachthe goal, you will be joining your block, city, and

or State, or your Country. The winners willreceive monetary prizes, provided by the Water

Utility Company.

Page 14: Hydro, the Water Social Network. Presentation

HYDROWe understand that expectation of cooperation

works, trying to do better every time. If a number ofgroups are working together to reduce waterusage there may be more impetus and also some

social expectation to do your bit. People need tofeel that others are contributing too.

Research strongly suggests that gamification ofwater dashboards might be a way of making

competition or cooperation more appealing.HYDRO is a way to motivate people to tackle

complex tasks, to reduce drought, to save water, tosave money, to make millions peoples lives better.

HYDRO monetizeHYDRO will be played by every Californians,

becoming a good game, a useful social network. The winners will obtain certain (TBD) prizes, andthose who don't play will be finned by the city,

unless they are under %25 saving program withoutplaying the game.

There are two sources of money:1- The city will pay for those homes that are on

target,2- The end-user will pay if it is not achieve.

3- The amount to be paid is the value of one 16.9oz.purified bottled water, U$0,261 by month each

account.

Page 16: Hydro, the Water Social Network. Presentation

HYDROCalifornia has 38 million people, and there are around

14 millions homes. We are planning to use 50% of ourprofit in exponential technologies, in creating new

sources of water and Iot plumbing devices andcomponents.

Also IoT devices will be slowly incorporated into thegame, providing better chances to save more water.

All devices will be monitored on line by HYDRO, takingalso an active role in saving water, by closing taps,

reducing flow, etc. A HYDRO house could be totallymonitored by the game, and set up to be able toconsume a certain amount of water by month.

Page 17: Hydro, the Water Social Network. Presentation

HYDRO goalsThe first goal we are looking at, would be to have all

Californians convince that HYDRO will help themsaving money and fighting against drought.

Then, we would love to reach 25% water savings allover the State.

Also we would like to see California playing againstsome other States.

We would like to see IoT moving into appliances andplumbing components and devices.

And last but not least, letting exponentialtechnologies to become a part of our lives and homes.
