NiobiumI 5100 Hydrothermal Synthesis of Crystalline Rectangular Titanoniobate Particles. —
KTiNbO5 powders are synthesized by a new hydrothermal process starting with sto-ichiometric amounts of Nb2O5 and Ti(OiPr)4 in aqueous KOH solution (autoclave, 300 or 400 °C). The samples are characterized by powder XRD, TEM, and thermal analysis. The obtained material has a thin and rectangular particle shape and a large surface area and, therefore, can be regarded as an ideal parent compound for photocat-alysts and nanoscale devices. — (LI, B.; HAKUTA, Y.; HAYASHI*, H.; Chem.
