Flexiform had previously worked with Hymans Robertson in conjunction with Overbury, but found we were excellently positioned to fulfill the brief for a subsequent installation entirely. Hymans Robertson wanted to update the second floor of one of its buildings in line with the previously-renovated eighth, rolling out Pico desks across the floor as well as injecting plenty of colour to the space.

Matching products were already in use across Hymans offices, both in this particular location and others, so it was ultimately simple for Flexiform to provide the same furniture again. However, we also incorporated functional breakout spots such as stylish and contemporary pods, as well as booth-style café seating, designed in bold colours to bring the office space to life.

The project began by surveying the floor, to identify how best to lay out the requested new furnishings. Renders and visuals were created to give Hymans Robertson an accurate idea of how the finished space would look, before commencing the install in conjunction with Whitecross.

Hymans’ facilities manager did not have a preconceived style or theme for the space, and worked together with Flexiform to choose colours, fabrics and graphics to add plenty of style and colour to the space. The client specifically chose Air3 pods after seeing them at Clerkenwell Design Week, and Flexiform provided a range of desking and breakout furniture to match.

Pico DesksBack-to-back desks were chosen from the Pico range, which was already favoured by Hymans following a previous install. All-white with black ABS edging were installed with double monitor arms and screen infills.

Additions Pedestal Base TablePedestal tables were provided in a bespoke elliptical shape, and were fitted with electrics for meeting spaces and collaborative working. Black ABS edging was chosen, to match the desks.

Acoustic PodsThe selected pods provide privacy, and create effective, self-contained meeting spaces.

Café FurnitureA wide range of breakout café-style furniture is available from a number of Flexiform’s hand-picked suppliers. Clean, modern and wipeable surfaces make these perfect for staff breaks, as well as meetings throughout the day.

TamboursLockable tambour storage units were selected in all-white. Magnetic strips for secure closing, and a wide range of internal components are available.

Bespoke LockersLockers with post slots and name tags were selected by Hymans Robertson, and were installed six lockers high at the ends of desk rows – ideal for storing desk and personal items, and acting as an inbox thanks to the internal tray.
