Memory from BHS: Main study hall minutes-no, seconds-before the morning tardy bell. Dave Hoover (as often was his habit) raced towards his seat. Miss Oglesbee muttered behind her desk and watched the clock. If you remember, with her it wasn't good enough to just be in the room at the sound of the bell; we had to be in our seats. (Believe me, I was counted tardy enough to know.) I had made it on time that morning and watched with

I the rest of the class to see if Dave would make it The room was silent and all eyes were on Dave. Would he make it? He ran to his desk and dropped into his seat. Suddenly out of the absolute silence, ··. Roger Leasure leaped to his feet, gave the umpire's sign, and yelled "Safe!" The study hall roared with laughter. Even Miss Oglesbee chuckled-and then warned Roger not to try it again.

I will never forget showing my family Kenny Lovelace's name engraved on The Wall in Washington, D.C. How could we have been so sheltered and given so many without question? I have thought of you, Gary Homan, so often. When I look back it was all so wonderful, fun, crazy. Amazingly we survived playing tag in cars through Rutan Park, ice skating, record hops, Shiveleys. Montecito Drive, Tuscon, Arizona 85710 (612)298-2995 Occupation(s): Office manager/secretary since 1972 for Farmers Insurance; took time out for manicuring school and my own business in nails Hobbies: Walking, reading, spending time with family Children [Grandchildren]: David ( 11) Major events in life: Moved to Arizona and married in 1968. Helped put husband through college; then I went to school for a couple of semesters. My husband has been in radio/Iv most of the time, but we started our own advertising agency which was successful, but nerve-wracking. It lasted about three years. He went back to radio and I went back to Farmers Insurance. We bought our third house in 1977 and had our first and only child in 1978. Our son is now eleven and we're still in the same house. I' m spoiled by the Tuscon weather and really love it here. This is Easter weekend and we're going to have a BBQ. The pool is heated enough to take our first swim of the season. Today the temperature was 90 degrees. We all enjoy perfect health. I do miss the springtime in Ohio. I'm not sure if we'll be able to make the reunion; if we don't, my thoughts are with you all! Memory from BHS: One morning in a BIG hurry I inadvertently sprayed my hair with spray starch instead of hair spray. I didn't have time

to wash it out, so I hurried out the door-it was raining! In those days not only did we girls wear our hear all teased up, but it was also not COOL to use an umbrella! I'm not sure what I expected, but I went to school anyway with drenched hair. The spray starch turned white and gummy! It's one of those experiences that takes 25 years to finally admit and be able to chuckle about. (P.S.: I've been a blond for all these years and I'm definitely having a lot of fun.)

one event that has never faded is the assassination of President Kennedy when we were juniors. I remember "fondly": Mr. Bewley throwing the "two-ton" dictionary across the room to get someone's attention (it didl). "Uncle" Paul's dreaded handshake, Miss Otte's Remus et

Memory from BHS: Miss Ogelsbee confronted me in the hall one morning as John Matthews was giving me a kiss. She said she was "going to get me" for hanging outside her door every morning with John and smooching. She scared me, but not enough to make me give up the body contact with John every morning. We just did it further from her door. Louise Emmons and I (along with David Elliot) were the entertainment for Homecoming. Neither Lou nor I had dates (you guys didn't get as tall as we were until our senior year) so we had to go to the dance, do our thing, and leave. We wound up at a party at Mike Silverstein's parents' factory and had a couple of Sloe Gin fizzes. Neither of us was accustomed to drinking and I remember Louise running around yelling, "I want to be Catholic." I called an old boyfriend's mother and told her exactly what I thought of her. I remember a lot more about the evening, which to this day makes me laugh, but I am not about to tell it here. I don't know about Lou, but I still can't drink Sloe Gin.

Young (Kramer), Cheryl 1120 Erie Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311

Those are Bob Hope's words, but the sentiment is mine. Thanks to everyone who helped put this information together. The project turned out to be a lot of fun. We remember the good times more than the bad and that's fortunate because the good times are more fun to write about.

After running this information past a computer spelling checker and proofreading it myself (twice), I handed it over to my wife, Phyllis. She pointed out several additional errors and also kindly made some recommendations that resulted in a better looking list. Any errors that remain are mine.

I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed compiling it. My only regret is that I didn't have the time necessary to follow up and wrench stories out of those who planned to respond but kept putting it off.

But we'll be doing this again.

And I'll be back.
