Computer Calculation of RF Dee Voltage Program for JINR Synchrocyclotron
An algorithm permitting to calculate the RF dee voltage program Ug (t) for the beam acceleration at minimum RF power without phase losses is described. The FAZOPT program written on the basis of this algorithm was used to determine RF dee voltage programs for different values of repetition rate FM , dee voltage at capture Ugo , magnetic field value Ho and at variation f 8 of upper frequency of RF range. At the constant U90 dee voltage u
9 (t) in
the operation frequency range increases at diminishing f 8 and at increasing F M and Ho • The 36 percent raise of U90 leads to the growth of u9 near the middle of the range only to 11 percent. It follows from the calculations that at the anode modulator of RF oscillator available the dee voltage at the capture may increase up to 22 kV without increasing RF power.
