In 1999 I went to the GRAMMYs while spearheading Ad Sales for CDNOW. Madonna, Shania Twain and Alanis Morisette all rocked the house, as expected. And then came this guy in black leather pants and a form-fitting sweater who I had never seen before. He started singing.... in Spanish. Before long I, along with the rest of the GRAMMY audience, was up on my feet clapping and dancing. I had no clue who this guy was and didn't understand a word he was singing…but he absolutely stole the show. Ricky Martin remains one of the best performances I have ever seen.
As a veteran ad saleswoman (with an emphasis on Entertainment clients), I liken myself to Ricky Martin. I am a start-up veteran whose climbed mountains to achieve success. I'm not the seller coming from brands like Madonna, Shania Twain and Alanis Morisette. I'm the unfamiliar candidate.. the Ricky Martin you never knew existed... with proven skills and a passion for your business.
And as with Ricky, if you give me a shot, I just might blow you away.
