John Folks , Jr., Board of Chairman of the Nassau - Suffolk Lumber & Supply Corporation , Melville, N.Y., and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer fo the Lumber Realty Corporation , Melville, N.Y., died suddenly on April 12 , 1971 in Buenaventura , Colombia , South America . He was 63 years old. Mr. Folks , born in Paterson , New Jersey , resided at Purdy Lane , Amityville, N.Y. He had been a resident of Amityville for over 30 years. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. degree in 1930 and received his M.A. degree from New York University in 1935. Mr. Folks was a director of Security National Bank , Hun- tington , N.Y. and St. Charles Hospital , Port Jefferson , N.Y. He was active in many civic and fraternal organizations. He was a member of the Tri-State Citizens Advisory Group ; Executive Council , Long Island Universi ty ; Newcomen Society in North America ; Metropolitan Club , University ; of Notre Dame; Knights of Columbus ; B.P.O. Elks ; and Southward Ho Country Club. Mr. Folks was a Fellow and Selector of the Presidents ' Council, American Institute of Management , and was listed as Marquis in Who ' s Who in Com- merce and Industry . Mass was hel d at St. Martin of Tours Church following reposal at D'Andrea Brothers Funeral Home , Copiague , last Monday. He was buried at St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn. November Nup tia ls Mr. and Mrs. Anthon y Spinelli of 25 Pace Drive , North Babylon , announce the engagement of their daughter , Joanne Lynne to Harry James Kenning, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry James Kenning, Sr. of 136 Monarch Avenue, North Babylon. Miss Spinelli is a '69 graduate of North Babylon Senior High School and is presently employed by the Long Island Rail Road in Jamaica. Mr. Kenning is a '65 graduate of North Babylon Senior High School , a U. S. Navy Veteran , and is presently employed by the New York State Department of Transportation . The wedding will take place on November 27, 1971 at Our La dy of Lourdes Chur ch in West Islip, followed by a reception at the Narragansett Inn . Annual Luncheon For GOP Women The Suffolk County Women ' s Republican Club will hold a Garden Party auction at County GOP Head quarters , in Blue Point , on Saturday, May 15 , in conjunction with the organization ' s annual luncheon and installation of officers , Mrs . Edwin M. Schwen k , chairman for the event , announced today. The auctioneer will be former Suffolk Sheriff Frank Gross who will be presiding over the sale of a variety of articles designed for outdoor living . Contributions of articles for the auction may be made either to County Headquarters or to the various town chairmen for the auction , Mrs . Schwenk said. "This auction is one of our club' s major fund-raising ef- forts ," Mrs. Schwen k said , " with the money raised going toward the November campaign in behalf of Republican candidates. This will be an extremely en- joyable day and I urge all Republicans to list it on their calendars.
