Hi Everyone: We have just returned from Memorial Weekend’s fantastic HHYC event, the Hundred Mile Cruise, hosted by P/C James Life and Julie Life along with their cohosts Char-lie and Terry Life. This cruise (a long time Memorial Week-end tradition for the Life fami-ly) included a grand tour of Gig Harbor, Longbranch and Poulsbo. We had awesome rafts in each location (see the photos in the newsletter!) with a taco bar, CSR bow thruster margaritas and a Mexican Pi-ñata (filled with everyone’s fa-vorites, booze and chocolate) on the Sea King on Friday night in Gig Harbor. Saturday night we went to the annual barn dance at the his-toric gymnasium in Long-branch, and then Sunday night we had our traditional dinner at Casa Luna in Poulsbo to

complete the weekend’s Mexican theme. The cruis-ing was excellent all week-end, and although a little more sun would have been nice, the weekend ended with beautiful weather in Poulsbo. Thanks James, Julie, Charlie and Terry for putting together such a great event! The Evite is already out for our next HHYC event, our annual Rock the Dock at Bell Harbor Marina, hosted by P/C Vic and Kari Portolese and P/C Dane and Terry Franz. This event takes place the weekend of June 21 – 23 and will feature live music on the dock on Saturday night. Bell Harbor is a unique op-portunity to moor in down-town Seattle and take ad-vantage of walking the Seat-tle Waterfront (this year with-out the noise of the Viaduct!) and the Pike Place Market.

See more details in the Evite, and we can share more spe-cifics at the next meeting. All our best and happy boat-ing in 2019! Commodore Larry & Keli Par-rett
