Hope to see you there. The recent tornadoes in East Bernstadt displaced over 100 Laurel County students. A benefit show, with all funds from the show, going to the four school’s Family Resource Centers, will be held Saturday, March 31, in the auditorium at North Laurel High School. Four-time IBMA Female Vocalist of the year Dale Ann Bradley and her band along with Mike Parker and Wilderness Trail and America’s Funniest Profesor, Carl Hurley will all join together for one night to share their talents and take center stage for a great cause. All monies raised will be divided between Hazel Green Elementary, East Bernstadt Independent School, North Laurel Middle School and North Laurel High School, all of which had kids that have been displaced due to the recent tornado. The youth service centers at each school will use the money to help with the needs of the students effected. Bradley is a highly acclaimed vocalist whose lat- est CD on Compass Records “Somewhere South of Crazy” released in 2011 garnered rave reviews. The video “Come Home Good Boy” was played in heavy rotation on CMT and GAC. When approached abo- out the show Bradley jumped at the chance to help her fellow Kentuckians and immediately looked for a slot in her busy schedule to help out as did Mike Parker and Wilderness Trail, a staple on the region- al Bluegrass scene for many years. For Carl Hurley, the show is especially meaning- ful as he is a Laurel County native and was born and raised in the East Bernstadt area. His busy schedule has him traveling the country performing shows to sold out audiences everywhere. “It’s a way to give back,” Hurley said. “And not just me but all the performers are donating their time and talents. I was honored to be asked to join them.” The show’s organizers, North Laurel Athletics and Connie Hunt agree that there will be lots of great music and comedy and encourage everyone to come out and support the entertainers and stu- dents. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Monday, March 26 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Cecil Benge officiating.

Burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery, Laurel County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. today until the 1 pm. funeral hour.

The Laurel County High School Class of 1987will be celebrating their 25th reunion on Saturday, June 23, 6 p.m. at the Laurel Event Place.

The recent tornadoes in East Bernstadt displaced over 100 Laurel County students. A benefit show, with all funds from the show, going to the four school’s Family Resource Centers, will be held Saturday, March 31, in the auditorium at North Laurel High School.

Four-time IBMA Female Vocalist of the year Dale Ann Bradley and her band along with Mike Parker and Wilderness Trail and America’s Funniest Profesor, Carl Hurley will all join together for one night to share their talents and take center stage for a great cause.

All monies raised will be divided between Hazel Green Elementary, East Bernstadt Independent School, North Laurel Middle School and North Laurel High School, all of which had kids that have been displaced due to the recent tornado. The youth service centers at each school will use the money to help with the needs of the students effected.

Bradley is a highly acclaimed vocalist whose lat-est CD on Compass Records “Somewhere South of Crazy” released in 2011 garnered rave reviews. The video “Come Home Good Boy” was played in heavy rotation on CMT and GAC. When approached abo-out the show Bradley jumped at the chance to help her fellow Kentuckians and immediately looked for a slot in her busy schedule to help out as did Mike Parker and Wilderness Trail, a staple on the region-al Bluegrass scene for many years.

For Carl Hurley, the show is especially meaning-ful as he is a Laurel County native and was born and raised in the East Bernstadt area. His busy schedule has him traveling the country performing shows to sold out audiences everywhere. “It’s a way to give back,” Hurley said. “And not just me but all the performers are donating their time and talents. I was honored to be asked to join them.”

The show’s organizers, North Laurel Athletics and Connie Hunt agree that there will be lots of great music and comedy and encourage everyone to come out and support the entertainers and stu-dents.

The show will kick-off at 7 p.m. and tickets may be purchased at the door for $10.
