i-Ready Summer Access Instructions for i-Ready School Administrators School Admin Set Up: To provide access to i-Ready during the summer follow the steps below. 1. i-Ready Summer Access

Instructions for i-Ready School Administrators

School Admin Set Up:

To provide access to i-Ready during the summer follow the steps below.

Step-by-step instructions for the i-Ready School Admin are shown on the below.

First Step:

Pull the Intervention Screener Report for Window 3 in end of year view. (follow step by step instructions below)

Use the Details by Student portion of the report to identify student by Tier.

Under the Reports tab, select the School Reports sub-tab.

Choose a Report: Intervention Screener report

Subject: choose Reading or Math

Define “On Level”: select End of Year View: Performing at mid or late in their current grade level

Show: Window 3

Click Create Report.

Second Step:

Instructional Groups for Summer Access are to be created by the onsite i-Ready administrator only, using their admin login. Create 3 instructional Groups per Grade Level to reflect students in red, yellow and green. Ex: 1st Grade green, 1st Grade yellow and 1st Grade red.

**This step expedites assigning the appropriate lessons to each group. (see step by step instructions below)

How to Create an Instructional Group for Summer Access:

1. Click on the Roster Tab2. Instructional Groups sub-tab.

3. Click the Add New Instructional Group button.

Group Details tab

1. Name your Instructional Group, Grade level tierex: 1st Grade Green (if needed create 3 groups per grade level to represent each tier)

2. Under Product Selection, click Select button3. Choose i-Ready Diagnostic and Instruction Reading or Math then click OK

***Repeat these steps for each grade level and subject.

Student Enrollment Tab

1. Click Student Enrollment tab2. Click Add Students button3. Search by Grade4. Using the Detail by Student portion of the Intervention Screener select the names of the

students identified by tier. Click ok5. Click Save & Close

Teacher Assignment Tab

1. Click Teacher Assignment tab2. Click Add Teacher button3. Select the name of the i-Ready Designated Admin at your site. This is the person who will assign the

prescribed extra lessons for summer access, then click OK***Note in order to prevent any confidentiality issues, access to the group should only be given to personswho service all of the students in the group. (ie: AP, Reading Coach) The classroom teacher(s) does notneed access to the groups, they can access reports for their individual students with their own log incredentials.

4. Click Save & Close

Assigning Extra Lessons 

Step Set for assigning Extra Lessons 

1. Click the Assignments tab, Program Management will be showing by default.

2. Select Subject (Reading or Math).

3. Select your name from the Teacher drop‐down menu

4. Click the radio button next to Instructional Group

5. In the green chart that loads below, select the checkbox for “Add Extra Lessons.”

7. At right, select “All Students with Instruction”, then click “Go.”

8. The “Add Extra Lesson” pop‐up will appear, listing the domains for the subject chosen. Selectone of the domains, and click the “Next” button.

9. Using the lesson list provided below, select the lessons preselected per grade level by clickingthe box under the add column next to each lesson. These lessons will appear under the “ExtraLessons” pathway.

10. Click “Add” then “Yes” to confirm your selections.

***Repeat the steps above to add extra lessons from other domains and subjects.
