H. Ferdinand and Isabella wanted all of Spain to be Catholic. They wanted to get rid of the Jews and Muslims in Spain. The Spanish Inquisition was a religious court that tried people who were not loyal to the Catholic faith. In 1492, Jews were given a choice of converting or leaving. Ten years after Spain recaptured Granada from the Muslims in 1492, Muslims were expelled as well (Alhambra Decree).
