Who We AreThe AAOA is one of the largest national otolaryngology societies, representing approximately one-third of the practicing otolaryngologists. Our members represent the core of the private practice generalotolaryngologists who are the decision makers in their groups, as wellas key leaders in academic otolaryngology. Our members include thebroader management of allergy and related inflammatory diseases ofthe respiratory tract within their daily ENT practice, blending surgicaland medical management, in addition to general ENT, rhinology, andpediatric ENT. Our 2,000+ physician members have a real impact ontoday's ENT practice and patient care. While many of our membersconsider themselves general ENTs, we have many who focus onrhinology, pediatrics, geriatrics, sleep medicine, and asthma. Our member-based demographic includes physician assistants, nursepractitioners, and allied health professionals who work alongside thephysician in day-to-day patient care. This increases our educationoutreach to a total member base of more than 2,500 active members. What to ExpectAt our events, national leaders in otolaryngology will lead discussionson pertinent clinical care issues that affect all practicing generalotolaryngologists. Topics range from focused discussions on allergy, asthma, rhinology, sinus surgery, laryngology, otology, pediatrics, sleep, and general ENT to cutting-edge advances in the medical and surgicalmanagement of ENT patients. Why Participate The AAOA CME mission underscores the organizational commitment ofcontinued learning with a goal toward improved patient outcomes. As acorporate partner, you can share our mission. In the realm of partnership, we invite you to participate in our 2020AAOA CME events. At each of our events, we draw 250-350 healthcareprofessionals, see page 4 for course attendance breakdown. Over thepast 12 months we reached close to 950 practitioners. At our Basic Course many, if not most, of the attendees are new toincorporating the diagnoses and management of allergy and relatedrespiratory diseases into their overall medical and surgical ENTpractice. Our Annual Meeting and Advanced Course expand on theseconcepts. Most of the participants use these courses as a way tofamiliarize themselves with both medical and product knowledge. Theseprograms provide you a unique opportunity to focus on a well-defined,motivated, target demographic for new client development, as well as achance to thank existing clients.
