ASHRAE’s Role

• ASHRAE’s standards for the built environment must include Indoor Air Quality for any building dealing with water, air, or solid waste

• Supporting the creation of adequate building infrastructure tools

• Develop partnerships with other organizations and government agencies to enhance building practices and educate those involved

• Understand the influences of HVAC&R on pathogen transmission in public spaces and develop control strategies
