    ACADEMIC STANDING

    Excellent CGPA 3.50

    Very Good CGPA 3.25 but < 3.50

    Good CGPA 3.00 but < 3.25

    Poor (Warning) CGPA 2.75 but < 3.00

    Probation CGPA 2.50 but < 2.75

    Removal & Re-Admission CGPA < 2.50

    GPA REQUIREMENTS

    CGPA must be

    3.00 to qualify for MBAdegree

    Students must maintain at least 3.00CGPA to remain in GOOD standing

    Students on WARNING or PROBATIONmust improve their CGPA to at least 3.00within next two consecutive semesters

    Students with less than 2.50 CGPA arenot allowed to continue their degree

    program

    WARNINGStudents with CGPA 2.75 but < 3.00 are placed on

    WARNINGWARNING status must be removed and CGPAimproved to at least 3.00 in the next semester

    Students failing to remove their WARING status in

    the next semester but still maintaining at least 2.75CGPA will be placed on PROBATION

    PROBATIONStudents with CGPA 2.5 but < 2.75 are

    placed on PROBATIONStudents on PROBATION status must improvetheir CGPA and bring it to at least 3.00 in thenext semester

    If a student on PROBATION does not show animprovement in CGPA in the next semesterthen he/she will be not be allowed tocontinue studies at IB&M

    PROBATION

    However, if a student on PROBATION shows animprovement in CGPA in the next semester butis still under 3.00 mark then he/she will begiven another semester to come out ofPROBATION status

    Students failing to remove their PROBATIONstatus at the end of two consecutive semesterswill not be allowed to continue studies atIB&M

    REMOVAL & READMISSIONA student will not be allowed to continue studies for a

    degree at IB&M and his/her name will be removedfrom IB&M rolls If:

    He/she fails to IMPROVE his/her CGPA at the end offirst semester in which he/she is placed on PROBATIONstatus

    He/she fails to remove his/her PROBATION status atthe end of two consecutive semesters

    REMOVAL & READMISSIONHis/her CGPA falls below 2.50 at any stage of

    his/her studies for a degree program at IB&M

    Such students are allowed one-time re-admissionin the IB&M under following conditions:

    A) CGPA at the time of removal must be at least2.00

    REMOVAL & READMISSIONB) Re-admission will be offered when admissions

    are opened for next batchC) No entry test and/or interview will be required

    for re-admission and no admission fee/securityand processing Fee will be charged

    D)However such students must apply for

    readmission on a new formE) Tuition fee and other semester charges shall be

    as per new batch and shall be governed by newpolicies as applicable to new MBA.

    REMOVAL & READMISSIONF) Re-admitted students will be allotted

    new registration numbers as for freshentry

    G) Previous academic record will not bereflected on their new transcripts

    H) Re-admitted students could transfertheir previous grades of B+ and above totheir new transcripts and shall beexempted to repeat these courses

    I) No other exemptions shall be allowed

    GRADE IMPROVEMENT & COURSE REPEATINGA) A student must repeat a course with F (failing)

    grade.B) Other courses with grade C or below ONLY may

    be repeated in order to improve CGPA.

    C) A course must be repeated within next two

    regular semesters (Fall and Spring) after thesemester in which such course was taken firsttime.

    GRADE IMPROVEMENT & COURSE REPEATING

    D) In case of time conflict with his/her other courses,a student may be exempted from attending classactivities (including in-class quizzes) but he/shemust complete all home assignments, termprojects, end-of-term presentations and take

    midterm and final examinationsE) Such exemption(s) must be discussed with and

    approved by course instructor(s) and shall beFormally endorsed in IB & M documents.

    GRADE IMPROVEMENT & COURSE REPEATING

    F) In case of time conflict between a repeatingcourse which is pre-requisite of an advancedcourse, the student must take the pre-requisiterepeating course first and take advanced courselater

    G) A course can be repeated only ONCE for thepurpose of improving a grade ofC and below.

    GRADE IMPROVEMENT & COURSE REPEATING

    H) However, a course with grade F can berepeated until a passing grade is received

    I) Maximum of 5 courses can be repeated forgrade improvement

    J) Repeated courses will appear on the transcriptwith an asterisk (*) and all grades (previous aswell as new).

    vogue shall be charged for all repeatingcourse registrations

    MAXIMUM COURSE LOAD

    An MBA student can register for amaximum of 21 credit hours or 7 coursesin a regular semester (fall and spring)

    A student can register for a maximum of

    12 credit hours or 4 courses in a summersemester

    These limits apply to all regular as well asrepeat courses

    CLASS ATTENDANCE

    A maximum of 2 absences out of 15 sessionsper semester may be allowed from a class of3 hour duration

    A maximum of 4 absences out of 30 sessionsper semester may be allowed from a class of1.5 hour durationA maximum of 5 absences out of 45 sessionsper semester may be allowed from a class of1 hour duration

    CLASS ATTENDANCE

    Absences beyond above levels will be penalizedby lowering the final accumulated score in thatcourse @ 2% per extra absence and final gradewill be adjusted accordingly

    Above absences are allowed only in extreme

    emergencies, that are justified on documentarybasis or otherwise ( solely on the discretion ofinstructor )

    A student shall be dropped from degreeprogram if he/she remains absent for 30 ormore consecutive Academic days withoutintimation and valid reason
