IBM Universal Behavior Exchange (UBX)+ CoupSmart

The CoupSmart platform creates long-term value for brand, retail and hospitality businesses by running smarter, data-acquisition oriented promotional campaigns. The tool allows companies to offer coupons through web, social, mobile and email channels while seamlessly collecting

email addresses and other granular consumer data. In addition, businesses can quickly identify and retarget consumers through IBM’s powerful marketing automation portfolio via IBM UBX based upon coupon viewing, claiming and redemption activities.

Data collected from CoupSmart can be added to the IBM Marketing Cloud database - growing your email list and increasing the richness of each customer profile. Coupon activity on a consumer level can also be tracked and targeted via IBM UBX to maximize conversion rates and identify top customers.

Real-Time Content IntegrationIn addition to UBX, this integration enables marketers to send out a variety of unique, one-time use coupon codes within IBM Marketing Cloud email templates, including barcodes, QR codes and alpha-numeric codes.

Get More Data From Your Promotions

Patrick is an active runner with several favorite brands that he purchases his workout apparel from. While browsing Facebook on his phone, he comes across the CityCool page since a friend recently liked their page. He clicks to read more when he notices a coupon offer for 20% off a newly released Sleekfit 2.0 fitness tracker.

What started out as an anonymous visit to CityCool’s Facebook page has landed Patrick in the IBM Marketing Cloud customer database for future personalized marketing engagement.

Since he has a marathon coming up, Patrick was interested in buying a fitness tracker. He clicks on the coupon and is taken to the CoupSmart hosted offer on CityCool’s Facebook fan page. CoupSmart requests permission to access Patrick’s Facebook data before providing the coupon information. He quickly accepts.

Patrick is sent a reminder email via IBM Marketing Cloud five days after claiming the coupon code which reminds him to complete his purchase. CoupSmart sends the additional coupon interaction activity to the CityCool marketing database via IBM UBX.

The CityCool marketing team is now able to identify Patrick’s social profile and can retroactively sync every past behavioral event to his unique record.
