Team Working

Working as part of a team was probably the most valuable thing I learned from the Formula Student competition. While working on a project you have to learn to cooperate with your team members to achieve your goal of the highest standards possible. This was especially important in the design of the chassis as it ultimately affected the entire assembly of the car.

Problem Solving Studying engineering is all about problem solving which is part of the reason I chose to do it as I love the challenge. It has allowed me to develop these skills and strategies for approaching problems in a structured way. I was able to apply these to our design projects at University and especially useful at the Formula Student Competition where we often had to cope with last minute changes and challenges.
