Page 7: ICAR-ICRISAT Partnership Project on Sorghum Breeding

• 12 SNPs linked to Rf genes (Rf1, Rf2, Rf5 and Rf6) for A1-CMS verified on B- and R-lines

• RIL populations for grain mold resistance genotyped and SNP analysis is in progress.

• MABC population (circa 800) from ICAR-IIMR for genotyping with SNPs linked TE&WUE

• 10 SNPs set for early generation selection for shoot fly resistance (~3000 samples screened in 2019)

• 120 advanced breeding lines and >10 new varieties was constituted for GS trial for rabi 2019-20.

• BCNAM progenies (M 35-1 and SPV1411) targeted for post flowering drought tolerance advanced to BCF2.
