Generating Interest in Betty• Betty is ready to
find a new home after the vet gave her the all clear.
• Betty has been neutered & her kittens have all been neutered at 8 weeks.
• All the kittens have found new homes, but what about Betty?
So, how can we help Betty find a new home?
Get them through the door
HOW?
Digital - e.g. Website, social media, YouTube, fundraising pages (e.g. UK - Justgiving), #Trending
Non-Digital - e.g. Newspaper editorial or paid advertising, posters, word of mouth, specific homing events
In-Direct - e.g. General events, word of mouth, feet on the street, alongside other work
• What have been your best ideas?• What hasn’t worked for you?• Think about times where you’ve had a
lot of people through your door (or on the phone/email etc.)
• Could you have made more of that situation?
DIGITAL
#MuttbombingWhen a mutt, or a mixed race rescue dog, intentionally interrupts a strangers’ photo on Instagram to find a home. Muttbombing is an initiative created by Dallas Pets Alive.

I do not believe you can do today's job with yesterday's methods and be in business tomorrow.

• Be prepared to change old ideas that no longer work.– Be prepared to let go of organisational
traditions.– Review success (or failure) regularly.– Leave your ego at the door, the animals have
no use for it.
• Don’t be scared of admitting that an idea wasn’t successful
…and move on to better ones.
Soon you will have to get a bigger door!
