How It All Started...Many years ago, our great founders Ben and Jerry noticed slipping

sales in their ice cream products. Determined to be the best in the business, they spent long, grueling hours trying to perfect the art of ice cream making. When they finally created a recipe that they believed was worthy of the title "Best Ice Cream Ever" they put it on the market, and the rest was history. The public fell in love. Ben & Jerry's ice cream was flying off the shelves. When Ben and Jerry realized how happy their ice cream made people, they thought that they could do great things for the people of America. Slowly, but surely, Ben & Jerry's took over all other businesses and replaced the government. America, now known as IceCreamopolis, has never been a happier or more prosperous place since then.

Life in IceCreamopolisDespite living in the greatest Utopia to ever exist, there are some rules that our citizens

must follow in order to ensure total happiness in the country.

1. All individuals must worship our great founders, Ben & Jerry.

2. Individuals have the right to do and think as they please, with the exception that they must worship our founders and have a profound love for ice cream.

3. Each individuals entitled to five gallons of ice cream from the government each month. However, the government only distributes chocolate and vanilla ice cream. If you would like a different flavor, you have to buy them yourself.

4. All individuals must respect others for their ice cream flavor preferences and other opinions.

5. All individuals have the right to receive an education, and soon after secure a steady occupation.

6. Eating frozen yogurt and beef are prohibited, all other foods are legal as long as you consume at least some ice cream every day.

7. Cows are the national animal and are considered sacred. No individual has the right to harm one.

There are great rewards for following all the rules of our Utopia, such as receiving an increase in one's monthly ice cream distributions. As for disobeying the laws, the punishments are harsh. For all crimes, you will receive a punishment equal to the crime committed, such as receiving the death penalty if you murder someone.

Ben & Jerry Rule the LandIn IceCreamopolis, Ben and Jerry's rules everything. Ben and Jerry

will be in power until the day that they die. But, they can't run a whole utopia by themselves. There are four advisories to Ben and Jerry. These four advisories are elected by the public. If the public has any complaints or concerns, they contact an advisory, who then addresses Ben and Jerry. If the public feels that the four advisories in place are not doing as good of a job as they hoped, then they have the right to have another election for better advisories.

Ice Cream makes the world go 'round

In many countries it has been said that "money makes the world spin 'round". However, that is not the case in IceCreamopolis! There is not one single thing in our society that is more valued or important than our very own ice cream! In our society, money has very little value. If you have a lot or a little of it, your rank in society is no different. That is the beauty of IceCreamopolis, there is no social class and everyone is equal! Because everyone receives the same amount of ice cream each month, the distribution is equal. If an individual chooses to purchase more, that is their own decision. Similar to money, the more or less ice cream you have does not determine your rank or position is society.

Ice Cream makes the world go 'round

Because money has very little value in our society, people may venture out to get jobs and make money as they please. Yet with any job they have, every business or company is owned entirely by Ben and Jerry. In our country, ice cream always gets back to you every which way you turn. Some of the most elite jobs people can have would include milking cows, or working in the factories to help produce the amazing ice cream provided by Ben and Jerry's.

Technology within the society of IceCreamopolis is very reminiscent of an alienationist country. We believe that there can be a happy balance with technology. The society is allowed doses of products such as television, computers, and basic cell phones, yet not enough to be eventually consumed in a fictitious, virtual world.
