Speakers ECC Paris 2010 Thursday June 17 - Challenges of the Future Philippe Gabilliet, a French Futurist, Elisabeth Sandager Danoise Directeur Général International de l’Oréal Luxe, Ervin Laszlo, a Scientist & Hungarian philosopher sharing from their own personal experiences, will encourage us to work on the new challenges that lie ahead. Elisabeth Sandager, Danish, International Director of L’Oréal Luxe Having served successively as Chief Executive Officer France of Bang and Olufsen and CEO of Kookaï and Helena Rubinstein, Elisabeth Sandager is International Director of L’Oréal Luxe today. She will come to share her vision of the future as well as the place of the woman in tomorrow’s society. Ervin Laszlo – President of the Club of Budapest: Ervin Lazlo is Founder and President of the Club of Budapest – a worldwide think tank - and has twice been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. The members of the Club of Budapest frequently exchange views with the likes of the Dalai Lama, film director Milos Forman, Jane Goodall, Mikhail Gorbachev, Bianca Jagger, Zubin Mehta, Desmond Tutu and Elie Wiesel. A child prodigy, Ervin gave concerts from the age of nine. Thanks to the Grand Prix of the International Music Competition of Geneva, he was able to cross the “iron curtain”. He began his career as an international concert performer then, following several twists and turns of his life as both a scientist and an intellectual, he served as President of the Club of Budapest, and head of the General Evolution Research Group, which he founded. He is an advisor to the UNESCO Director General. Laszlo is author, co-author and editor of 87 books published in 23 languages. Philippe Gabilliet – French Futurist: Philippe Gabilliet works in the field of managerial futurology, leadership development and intercultural management, with particular interest in the Far East. He is an Associate Professor with ESCP Europe in Organisational Behaviour with responsibility, for the third year running, of the course entitled “Futurology, anticipation & intelligence of the future”. He ensures the scientific focus of the diploma-awarding programme “Lead & Motivate”. He also teaches at the CNAM (National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, Paris), and at HEC Geneva (Switzerland). By allowing the talents and discoveries of these experts, pioneers and maestri to touch us, we will enable the twinned insight of the arts and sciences to co-create novel approaches, new ways of thinking, and innovative interventions. Trinh Xuan Thuan (TXT), Astrophysicien vietnamien professeur aux USA Trinh Xuan Thuan was born on 20th August, 1948 in Hanoï (Vietnam). He pursued his studies in Saigon, at the French high school. He obtained his Bachelor of Physics at the California Institute off Technology (Caltech) in 1970, then his PhD in Astrophysics at Princeton University in 1974. An astrophysicist internationally recognized for his research in extragalactic astronomy (concerning objects beyond the Milky Way), he is the author of more than 230 articles on the formation and evolution of galaxies, in particular of dwarf galaxies, and on the synthesis of light elements in the Big-bang. His articles are widely referred to in the world. Since 1976, he has been a professor of astronomy at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and divides his time between the United States and France.

He has developed a system of treatment and conditioning management for top ranking sports personalities in the fields of tennis, golf, athletics and car racing. Guillaume is a featured speaker and creator of the “hologram of health for a balanced & performant brain & nervous system”. Denis Marquet, French philosopher, novelist and therapist Denis Marquet is an inspiring philosopher, a recognized novelist, a featured speaker and an exceptional therapist. Graduate of École Normale Supérieure Ulm (Paris) with a Doctorate in Philosophy, he has taught in Paris XII University, IEP Paris (Sciences Po) and ESCP-EAP; Denis played in several rock bands and has composed films’ original soundtracks. His first novel, Colère, is a recognized best-seller, translated into eight languages. During several years, he experienced psychoanalysis and various methods of psychotherapy. Blending contemporary therapy practise and Socratic Dialogue, he creates his own philosophical practitioner’s method and has written many articles for Psychologies Magazine. Warren Lamb, English teacher in Dance and Body Language Warren Lamb is currently researching movement and ender as well as continuing to lecture around the world. Originally a pioneer of modern dance in the UK, he has since devoted himself to observation and analysis of people’s body movement using notation and has discovered a link between movements and making decisions. Warren Lamb gives conferences around the world but not yet in France. This would be a world premiere. His public interventions are always lively and interactive. Angie Hiesl, German artist Exploring visions of the future…the artist's ability to see problems from a different perspective! Angie Hiesl stands for interdisciplinary projects transforming temporary everyday spaces into art spaces. Her performance installations are sensory provocations in the border area between performance and fine art. Her work invites audiences and passers-by to view what was once thought to be familiar in a new way. Angie Hiesl has won numerous awards in theatre and art since the early 1980s and was awarded the European Street Theater Prize in 1998 for her best-known work to date: "x-times people chair."
