The MusicaEuropa association is working with very dose Italian partners: Wor1d Youth Orchestra Foundation and Sapienza University of Rome just to foster artistic projects, scientific, technical and artistic studies, as well as research methodologies, with a view to safeguard of the intangible cultural heritage and to promote the function of the intangible cultural heritage in society special in the Mediterranean and Middle East countries. In this effort MusicaEuropa is in constant contatct with the Italian Institutions and with other lstitutions as the Ministry of Culture of the Iranian Islamic Repubblic in a important project to research the ancient popular music in the tradition of the lndo European family.

8.2. Describe your Q(9MIIZation's cooperation with CQmp6tent governmental bodies for the sa{e(Jltarding of the Intangible cultural heritage (Artir:J 13), including exis6ng institUtions for training and documentation of intllngible cultural heritage (OD 154).

Thanks to an important MOU signed with the Ministry of Culture of the Iranian Islamic Repubblic, MusicaEuropa and its partners are starting an very important project. The results of this route will be presented officially to the Unesco in Paris.

MusicaEuropa follows a methodology that attempts to wor1< with both training with research communities. Schools, communities, researchers, individuals are our subjects of wor1<. Through a continuous research in the Mediterranean and Middle East territories, through a continuous contact with communities, researchers, individuals, we believe to identify and define the various elements of the intangible cultural heritage present in the Mediterranean and Middle East territories.

The MusicaEuropa core business is in the fields of promoting the function of intangible cultural heritage in the society, foster scientific and artistic studies, facilitating access to information relating the cultural heritage. Firstly MusicaEuropa is working in the schools, in the training communities to promote the beauty and the importance of the cultural heritage that is useful to a balanced growth of our community through artistic and educational programs, sacand it fosters scientific and artistic studies thanks the collaboration of important Italian and international partners, to safeguard of the intangible cultural heritage, in particular the intangible cuttural heritage in danger for example the ancient popular music of the three monotheistic cultures and the possibility to facilitate the access to information through pubblic events

MusicaEuropa had a lot of experience in educational projects in the Italian and Mediterranean countries schools and communities. The goals are always to awareness-raising the young people on the roots of the Mediterranean music culture through the educational project based on the music and artistic activities, transmitting knowledge aboot the ICH through a educational work with our partners, to activate a process to disseminate best practices about the ICH knowledge and safeguard. These process start always with the full cooperation with the local communities and groups. Ifs very important for our experience to give them a good methodology processes but in the other hand give them full autonomy. These projects and process we had and we have in schools and communities in Italy and in some countries like Algeria, Tunisia, Turkey, Palestine, Israel and Iran.

Our experience in the national and international contest has always been very positive because the work had always been with the full collaboration of our partners, a common work full of good results, a common work that has the possibilities to disseminate over time best practices.
