I.C.I. Homicide and Death Invetsigation CourseOverviewThis course is for Law Enforcement Personnel working in the field as Homicide Investigators or for
those who plan to promote to the Homicide Investigator Field Assignment for the first time. Designed
mainly for classroom instruction, it includes interaction with students and student presentations. Stu-

ing actual Homicide Death Investigation Tools and Techniques. The exercise is monitored and evalu-
ated by LASD Homicide Detectives.
This two-week (8O hour) course is generally presented four times a year by LASD and is coordinated

Forensic ArtA wide variety of relevant topics are covered
in this course. One of them is Forensic Art
presented by Sandie Enslow, Forensic Artist,
LASD. Legal ramifications, proper procedures
when working with FAs, case management and
the handling of high profile cases are included
subjects. Learning to compare features and
knowing what to look for is crucial. Students
compare actual six packs to actual composites,
make choices and then reviewing the actual booking
photo that correlates with that composite drawing.
Understanding what this information-generating tool
can do for your case is an advantage.
