people work through redesigned processes
that are made possible by technology”
– NetHope

De-mystifying Digital Transformation
IDEA
“The challenges the humanitarian sector is up against—where the needs supersede the funding available—will require new approaches. We need to team up with new partners and seek to do more with less. The Dream session we just concluded with Microsoft and Accenture is an exciting start for NRC to explore new partnerships and new ways of working.” – Jan Egeland, CEO, Norwegian Refugee Council
"As I reflected on the 3 days, I am so encouraged and excited. It's not just that I didn't know some of the technologies existed, but I never thought we would be able to make use of them…the commitment from Microsoft and NetHope to support us and the sector made me believe that these are now possible" – James Ray, Senior WASH Advisor, MedAir
“I came in with a bias, but that bias is now gone…I feel much more comfortable with the approach we’ve identified coming out of this session. No doubt about it.” – Em Fackler, CIO, International Rescue Committee
IDEA (Imagine, Design, Execute, & Assess), is a broad umbrella for digital transformation processes offered to NetHope members through The Center for the Digital Nonprofit. The first IDEA implementation pilot is based on Dream, Design, Deliver, a social impact accelerator developed by Microsoft.

• Dx is more business transformation (People, Skills, culture, process) than a technology project
• Provide virtual orientation ahead of onsite workshop
• Value of field-programs participation
• Think beyond your organization
• Prepare to move fast and commit
• Still Learning
