What Content Would You Like to See in Future Meetings?

• Have homework assignments given ahead of time; then share homework/follow-up assignments at the regional meeting

• Hold regional meetings on various campuses within our Regional Network and then hold informational sessions about projects/programs on those campuses

• Hire a FIG (Faculty Inquiry Group) expert to come speak at our regional meeting in order to (1) give us information on how to set up FIGS and (2) find out how FIGs are working on campuses.

• When regional meeting is held on a specific campus, invite a number of folks from that campus to come to the meeting for a designated period of time in order to extend the BSI reach.

• Narrow our focus for meeting topic/goal by prioritizing the most critical issues around basic skills and then working with what is manageable.

• Commit to focusing on shared goals/priorities.

• Each campus bring one major challenge to focus on.

• Create a webinar and/or online regional meeting that we be one week long. We could have the following: (1) FIG webinar and (2) Monday through Friday participation around focused topics—perhaps a different topic for specific days of the week. Announce this ahead of time so people would know what is focused on each day.

• Have one live large meeting with everyone involved; then break region up for one other live meeting where colleges that are close together meet (e.g., the Sacramento colleges could meet and the Central Valley colleges could meet)

• Have a group teleconference where we meet virtually.

• A fun way to address challenges might be to have some type of “rating” or awards for the best problem-solving; or we could have “BSI state championships” where the different Regional Networks compete against one another.

• Hands-on presentations of effective practices; then we could make podcasts/streaming for online access where people could view these over and over again.
