The song that I have chosen to use for my music video is Photograph by Ed Sheeran; evidentially this means that the genre of my project is going to be pop. The main theme that will be running throughout my music video is love and relationships due to the narrative that I am following. The characters that will be included in my music video are an old male, an old female, a young male and a young female. These characters will be used to portray a story based upon memories. The older couple will be seen looking over memories together from their younger years. The lyrics which play throughout the song Photograph have been a massive inspiration to the narrative of my video as they are clearly aimed to be focussed upon love and memories. I feel that the title of the song is also significant to the idea behind my video because I will be involving photographs throughout the video as a way of reflecting upon memories. The song that I have chosen is very slow which follows the general expectation of a stereotypical love song.

I have chosen Manchester as one of the settings for my music video as it is easily accessible to me. I am going to be using the setting of a park in my music video for the older couple to walk through while I shoot various scenes to my video. I have chosen a park as it is always very peaceful and calm, and is also a setting that you might find a couple spending time with one another. I will be using the setting of a house where I am also going to shoot the older characters; this will play the role of their home which they will portray their everyday lives. I will also be using the setting of Blackpool where I will be shooting the younger male and female characters, playing the role of the older couple being in love and having fun when they were younger. Here I am able to use the setting of the beach which gives a very romantic atmosphere, especially in the evening; this also makes the characters look young and free. I may also use the pier as there is amusements and a fair situated on there, this will show them looking over the adventures that they experienced when they were younger. Here I will be able to shoot various different sceneries such as the beach, the promenade and the famous Blackpool tower.

The style of my music video is going to be a mixture of narrative and performance, I am doing this as I want the video to tell a story although I feel that clips of performance is necessary as there is a lot of emotion in the song and lyrics. I will be using the young male character to shoot the performance footage for my video. I have also chosen the style of narrative for my music video because the lyrics clearly tell a story; the narrative that I have chosen also goes very well with the lyrics. My music video is going to follow the general expectation of a stereotypical love song as it tells a story based on love and relationships and the ideal life that people wish to have. There will be any edits in my music video as the time will constantly be changing from present to past tense. There will also be several fades used in my video to intensify certain events. My video is mostly going to be non-diegetic using just the song in time to the video although there may be some diegetic sounds such as seagulls and the sea.

The props that I will be using in my video will include a necklace, Polaroid photos/photos and a guitar. The necklace is going to be significant to my video as it is an item which the female character has kept since she was young. I will be shooting footage showing the old female character reminiscing over a memory linking to the piece of jewellery. This will then cut to a shot of the young male character giving the young female character the necklace when they were on the beach. This will be a significant prop featured in my video as it is a way for the characters to look over memories

from when they were younger. I will be using the polaroid photos which will be hung up in the house showing memories from when they were younger, there will also be a shot where the old male and female characters will be looking at a photograph of the both when they were younger, this will then come to life again, showing their memories. There will also be the prop of a guitar featured in my music video as part of the performance style of my music video. The young male character will be singing while playing the guitar at one of my chosen settings.
