Elaine Bannon Director Global Product Development Quality & Global Product Development System (GPDS) - Ford Motor Company Elaine leads a global team of over 300+ employees responsible for Ford Motor Company’s Global Product Development Quality and also the GPDS (Global Product Development System) timing process. As part of this roll, she works with all of the program teams to help develop roadmaps that deliver the full vehicle lifecycle of quality. Her team collaborates with the program teams to develop their vehicle timing and monitor it for delivery at the critical milestones. They also continuously improve Ford’s vehicle timing process through benchmarking of best practices to ensure it is more than fully competitive. Elaine and her team develop customer usage correlations to Ford’s quality metrics – which help ensure they are engineered for the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Debra Bezzina, PMP Senior Program Manager, University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute Debby Bezzina holds B.S. in Electrical Engineering, an M.B.A., and Program Management Professional Certification (PMP). Ms. Bezzina has over 29 years of experience in the automotive industry, and has served as a program manager for 15 years. She served as Visteon’s program manager on two USDOT-funded field operational tests of automotive advanced safety systems research (Road Departure Crash Warning FOT and Integrated Vehicle Based Safety Systems FOT). At present she is the Senior Program Manager for the Ann Arbor Connected Vehicle Test Environment at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute. Concurrently, she is the Pillar 1 lead for the Mobility Transformation Center.

Dr. Catherine Crawford Distinguished Engineer - IBM Research Catherine H. Crawford, PhD Distinguished Engineer IBM Research, graduated from MIT with a SBME and Princeton University with an MSE and PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Her PhD research was in the area of direct numerical simulation of turbulence in complex geometries. Since then, she has spent over 20 years at IBM Research and has published and patented in areas as diverse as numerical simulation on parallel architectures, computer system performance analysis and modeling, high performance computing systems, embedded systems, and mobile devices. Her work has earned her corporate awards, a selection to the Mass High Tech Women to Watch and even a reference in the congressional record for her foundational software work on hybrid systems which ultimately led to the world's first petaflop computer, Roadrunner. Her current work focuses on machine learning problems, including computer vision, leveraging mobile and embedded systems, e.g. Edge Analytics and Computing.

Evelyn H. Hirt Principal Engineer, Laboratory Planning & Performance Management Directorate, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Operated by Battelle for U.S. Department of Energy With a multi-disciplinary career in engineering spanning over 41 year, Ms Hirt’s professional experiences bridge the industrial, government, and academic communities. She has held leadership positions in professional technical societies including: the 2015 IEEE Eta Kappa Nu President and the 2010 IEEE-USA President. She is currently the United States National Committee (USNC) of IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Technical Advisor for IEC Technical Committee (TC) 113, Nanotechnology standardization for electrical and electronic products and systems. She received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Detroit and a Masters in Engineering Management and a Certificate in Project Management from Washington State University. She was awarded Engineering Alumnus of the Year from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2011.

Grace Hsia Chief Executive Officer - Warmilu

Grace Hsia is the Co-Founder & CEO at Warmilu, a non-electric warming technology company. At Warmilu, she manages business development, medical device development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales (US, India, Rwanda, Congo, Cameroon, and Kenya). She has been recognized by the Manufacturing Institute as an Emerging Leader for the 2016 STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Production) Ahead Awards and she is a Forbes 30 Under 30 2016 Manufacturing & Industry Honoree. She was the tech mentor for the top 10 international finalists in the Intel 2014 Make it Wearable Competition at UC Berkeley and coached Nixie and ProGlove.

Dr. Anita Jensen Vice President, Executive & Organization Development - Trinity Health Anita Jensen has served as Vice President, Executive Organization & Talent Development for Trinity Health since the organization’s inception in May 2013. Her key areas of focus include the functional areas of talent management and culture, change and engagement. In this role she is responsible for strategic talent planning, talent assessment & C-Suite Level succession planning; executive assessments & onboarding, executive and transformational coaching, Trinity Health Ministry Leadership Academy & talent development programs for all colleagues, change leadership, culture change, colleague engagement, and organization design and development.

Sandi Lin Chief Executive Officer, Skilljar

Sandi Lin is the CEO and co-founder of Skilljar, a customer onboarding and training platform. Prior to Skilljar, Sandi was a Senior Manager at Amazon.com. Sandi received a B.S. and M.S. in civil engineering from MIT and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Asiyat Magomaeva Leader Development Specialist - General Motors

Asiyat Magomaeva is a Leader Development Specialist at GM. Prior to joining General Motors. Asiyat worked for global companies like Kellogg, TRW and traveled to India to collaborate on cross-cultural executive coaching research with Infosys Leadership Institute. Her experience spans a wide range of HR functions: assessment and selection, competency building, leader development, performance appraisal and organizational culture. In her current role she manages leader development programs for women at GM.

Wendy MacLennan Program Manager, Ford Hybrid System Engineering Global Electrified Programs Wendy MacLennan began her career as a co-op student with General Motors in 1979, graduating from Kettering University in 1984 with a BSME, and spending three years as a test and development engineer at the Milford Proving Grounds. She joined Ford Motor Company as a Front Axle design engineer in 1988. With the birth of her first child, she embarked on a new career in motherhood, eventually homeschooling her children through high school. All four are currently pursuing science or technical careers. She continued her love and interest in math and science by teaching Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at a local homeschool cooperative serving 50+ families. In 2009, she took a part-time position at Lawrence Technological University as Coordinator for Robofest, a global robotics competition for students from 4th grade through College. With her children all in college or established in their careers, she decided to return full-time to Ford Motor Company after 24 years. She has found her role as a Hybrid Systems Engineer to be both challenging and rewarding. Wendy enjoys reading, travelling and horseback riding. She has been married to her best friend and mentor, Scott, for 33 years.

Dr. Carol Miller Director, Healthy Urban Waters - Wayne State University

Carol Miller received all her engineering degrees from the University of Michigan. She is a professor of civil & environmental engineering at Wayne State University (WSU) and the Director of Healthy Urban Waters, a transdisciplinary collaboration of WSU researchers who are networking within the community to foster improved environmental health. Miller’s research focuses on the water/energy/emissions interface, sustainable energy technologies, hydraulic modeling and water supply. Professor Miller is a licensed PE, and the previous Chair of the State of Michigan’s Licensing Board

Donika Mullaademi Manager - Engineering CEO (Center of Excellence), DTE Energy During the war in Kosovo in 1999, Donika Mullaademi a high school graduate moved to the United States as a war refugee. Started with attending the 1st level ESL night courses for non- speaking English residents at Fordson High School and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan – Dearborn by 2005. In 2010 received a master’s in business management from Lawrence Tech University. Donika began her career at DTE as an engineering co-op, which helped her determine that engineering field and DTE was the right long term career for her. Today, Donika is a manager in the Distribution Operation Engineering Department. Her experience as equipment engineer in various generating electrical systems, operations, and leadership roles has allowed her to make significant contributions in Power Generation and Electrical Distribution Operations. She is passionate about mentoring and coaching employees to achieve their personal career goals.

Maureen Monte Success Architect - Building Winning Teams

Maureen Electa Monte builds winning teams. She is Leadership and Team Consultant with ten years of corporate experience delivering her strengths-based success program called No Teammate Left Behind. Her clients include IBM, Kellogg, Salesforce.com, Beaumont, Huntington Bank, Cranbrook and high technology firms in the mid-west and Georgia. She has worked with the Cranbrook Boys Varsity Hockey team to help them win the State Championship and documented that story in book called "Destination Unstoppable".

Dr. Marla Perez-Davis Deputy Director, John H. Glenn Research Center – NASA

Dr. Marla E. Pérez-Davis serves as the deputy director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's John H. Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. In this capacity she shares with the center director responsibility for planning, organizing and managing the agency level programs and projects assigned to the center. Pérez-Davis is the recipient of NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal; 2015 Crain’s Women of Note, the Top 25 Elite Business Women, Hispanic Business Magazine; Women of Color Career Achievement; Distinguished Alumni Award Alumni Association of University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez; Women in Aerospace Award for Aerospace Awareness; Women of Color Technology Award for Career Achievement; and the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Santiago Rodriguez Diversity Award. She is also a certified NASA Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Dorothy Proux Executive Coach and Leadership Development Facilitator; Retired Partner - Ernst & Young Dot works for Ernst & Young specializing in talent consulting. In 2007, Dot accepted a position leading the US Midwest, and then the American learning, development and deployment functions for EY’s tax practice, as well as oversight of the 2000- member US tax staff pool. She led the design and execution of significant cultural, client Services, and learning changes. She has been involved in EY’s campus recruiting and career path strategy, mentoring and sponsoring programs.

Wanda Reder Chief Strategy Officer, S&C Electric Company, Candidate for IEEE 2017 President Elect, and Past President of IEEE Power & Energy Society Wanda Reder is the Chief Strategy Officer for S&C Electric Company and prior to that was the VP of Power Systems Solutions. She has served on the IEEE Governing Board, the IEEE Foundation Board, and founded IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative, a program that has provided over 900 power engineering scholarships since 2011. She also launched the IEEE Smart Grid, which now enjoys over 90,000 followers. Wanda was named a Distinguished Engineer at South Dakota State University in 2007, was the first female President of IEEE Power & Energy Society in 2008-2009, became an IEEE Fellow in 2012 and received the IEEE Power & Energy Society Leadership and Meritorious Service Awards in 2012 and 2013 respectively. In recognition for exemplary service, she received the IEEE Richard M. Emberson Award in 2014. A candidate for the 2017 IEEE President-Elect, and member of the US Department of Energy’s Electricity Advisory Committee, she was recently elected to the National Academy of Engineering.

Donna Satterfield Vice President, Americas Automotive, Aerospace & Defense Industry Leader - IBM Corporation Ms. Satterfield is currently Vice President, Americas Automotive, Aerospace, & Defense. Previously, Ms. Satterfield had responsibility for the consulting services portfolio at a large automotive company, as the Lead Partner. She has over 30 years of business and systems consulting experience involving all phases of information systems planning, development and implementation. She has worked with clients in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, retail, education, insurance, government and banking. Ms. Satterfield is active in the community, including Advisory Board member for the Michigan Council for Women in Technology (MCWT), member of the Board of Directors for the Detroit Economic Club, Cabinet member for United Way, and Chair for a major annual fundraiser for the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.

Samantha Snabes Co-founder and Catalyst - re:3D

Samantha is a Catalyst for re:3D facilitating connections between others printing huge and/or using recycled materials to create more access to 3D printable solutions worldwide. Previously, she served as the Social Entrepreneur in Residence for the NASA HQ and Deputy Strategist supporting NASA Johnson Space Center's Space Life Sciences Directorate after selling a start-up for a DARPA-funded, co-patented tissue culture device. Samantha holds a BS in Biology, BA degrees in International Relations & Hispanic Studies, a MBA with concentrations in Supply Chain Management & International Relations, and certifications as a firefighter & EMT-B.

Paul Wesling IEEE Distinguished Speaker & Life Fellow

Paul Wesling has worked at GTE, Amdahl, Tandem Computers, H-P and several start-ups, in R&D, design, and manufacturing technology. Assignments included bubble memory development, IC packaging, multi-chip modules, thermal management, reliability, and executive management, as well as developing advanced technology and professional skills courses for the technical staff. A Fellow of the IEEE, he received the IEEE Centennial Medal, the CPMT Distinguished Service award, and the IEEE's Third Millennium Medal, and served as the CPMT Society's vice president of publications for 22 years. Now retired, he is communications director for the IEEE's SF Bay Area Council and the editor of the Council's GRID Magazine.

Daphne Zargar Global Manager – Partner Relations, Application Ecosystem & Development, OnStar As the new Global Manager of Partner Relations, App Ecosystem & Development at GM, Daphne oversees the team responsible for working with 3rd party apps around the globe, such as iHeart, Pandora and Spotify, to integrate into the infotainment in-vehicle platforms across all brands. Her team is also developing the SDK/Emulator that will launch by the end of 2016 enabling any developer on the planet to develop an app for the car from their laptop.
