What is an I.E.P.?

Individualized Education Plan

Is a written document that's developed for each public school child who is eligible for special education. The IEP is created through a team effort and reviewed at least once a year.

It is throughout the United States; every school.

Special education is for any student who has a disability that affects their ability to be successful in mainstream school.

Most special education disability areas are NOT due to intelligence!

It determines your classes.

It determines your case manager.

It determines your accommodations

It determines what you need to work on.

It is a legal document about it; it follows you throughout your school career.
